Observance of World Oral Health Day highlighted the Link between Oral Health and Overall Well-Being

The observance of World Oral Health Day was marked with a ceremony at the Serenity Park in Sans Souci with the aim of launching activities aimed at promoting good oral health and raising awareness about the importance of oral health as a vital component of overall well-being. World Oral Health Day was observed under the theme, “A Happy Mouth is a Happy Life.” During this ceremony, the Ministry of Health placed focus on the link between good oral hygiene and reduced risk of non-communicable diseases NCDs. Saint Lucians were also encouraged to take care of their oral health by practicing good oral hygiene habits such as brushing twice daily and visiting the dentist regularly.
