(00:34) Oekraïne wil binnenlandse wapenindustrie opkrikken Nu de grenzen aan de westerse wapensteun in zicht komen, zoekt de Oekraïense regering naar andere oplossingen. Hoewel het land al een relatief grote wapenindustrie kent, moet in 2024 de productiecapaciteit zes keer zo groot worden. Er wordt daarom flink onderhandeld met grote wapenproducenten om dat mogelijk te maken. Over die laatste ontwikkelingen in de wapenindustrie spreken we met VRT-journalist Jens Franssen. (10:27) Biden dreigt moslimstem te verliezen Moslims en Arabische Amerikanen dreigen Joe Biden de rug toe te keren. Dat komt door zijn steun aan het Israëlische geweld in Gaza, maar ook door de volgens moslims groeiende islamofobie in de VS. En dat kan Biden flink wat stemmen kosten bij de presidentsverkiezingen in oktober. Hoe belangrijk is hun stem en wat kan Biden doen om die te behouden?
