Officer struck by car during foot pursuit in Olney

A Philadelphia police officer suffered minor injuries Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle while pursuing a suspect on foot. It happened just before 10 a.m. at Front and Duncannon Streets in Olney. Police say the officer was running after a man wanted for domestic assault when he was hit by a car. The 38-year-old driver remained at the scene and was not charged. The injured officer was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for injuries to his hands and head.
