OHOTA is the solo project of Saint Petersburg-based musician Ivan Borisov. While his current work is primarily focused on techno and trance, within the context of this event special attention should be paid to his earlier releases — two albums and an EP that reinterpret the legacy of 1980s synth-pop, EBM, and post-punk. These records combine the recognizable aesthetics of those genres with contemporary production techniques, refined sound design, and a distinctive artistic identity. Active since 2010, OHOTA has participated in a variety of musical projects and performed at international venues ranging from festivals in Berlin to club events in Shanghai. Across different stages of his career, Borisov has remained committed to exploring the intersection of melody, atmosphere, and rhythm, continuously evolving his sound while maintaining a strong and recognizable creative vision.
