On The Record with WNXP: Yard Act

Leeds band Yard Act recorded their third LP, You're Gonna Need A Little Music, in two separate, months-apart sessions in the U.K. and L.A. split by a tour opening for The Hives. The result is 11 tracks that jump around from the group's trademark English snark -- what singer and lyricist James Smith says is the album's "cynical core" -- to more sun-kissed, optimistic melodies all recorded live in-studio together.
