One More Dollar Down

ONE MORE DOLLAR DOWN (reworking of Shuffle Jam, original instrumental track by Silvio Vinci) Woke up this morning, my shoes were on the stairs Woke up this morning, my shoes were on the stairs Don’t remember coming home, but somebody left me there I looked inside my pocket, found a number and a dime Yeah, I looked inside my pocket, found a number and a dime The number said “Don’t call me” and the dime was out of time My landlord wants his money, my woman wants me gone My landlord wants his money, my woman wants me gone But that old Hammond’s humming so I guess I’ll carry on One more dollar down, boys one more night to go One more dollar down and I’m still moving slow If trouble keeps on knocking I’ll charge it at the door Bought myself some good luck from a man down on the street Bought myself some good luck from a man down on the street He took my last five dollars then wished me something sweet
