We are so pleased that you've chosen Christian programming to be in your homes And we are honored and blessed that you have chosen us Buddy and Veronica McLaughlin to come and to break the bread of life with you and bring the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ This awesome technology and wherever you're hearing this from We're just thankful you're carving out the time to let us share some beautiful nuggets of God's love for you through his word each week We just we thank you for being so thankful to to watch us to encourage us to pray for us to share your love through giving in their Ministry, it's afforded us 21 years Wow 21 years. We've seen so much happen in 21 years Only eight when it began that is incredible. Isn't it?
We have to be able to tell Tom any better 21 years But well, I remember when the Lord laid this in our spirit This ministry was launched from the salvation of buddy his testimony You know if you want to see his testimony you can go on our website take a look at it But it's amazing when Buddy gave his heart to the Lord that we just hit the ground running and I remember the night that you got saved You looked at me after I prayed for him for two years He said why didn't you tell me it was this good and I'm like oh there was a spirit that came over me that just wanted You put me through mini a trial by fire here But but but our but our testimony has grown and that that's what launched it And then we saw numerous healings My grandmother had a massive stroke that the doctor said that she couldn't live from and God healed her from that So healing and then Finan anything that you can think of through this 21 years trial by fire that we have gone through in this ministry We are telling you from our experiences We are telling you we're very transparent from where we have come from and the trials that we have come from and you know That God does a lot of character building. He's done that in the past 21 years So we've had issues with relationships with with children with finances with hell When you raise two children We think they're raised anyway. We're not quite sure about that and they love the Lord and but you know There was some tribulation going through that as well issues with health along the way issues with finances where you're saying God where do we go from here? You know we both are in business You know we have Kingdom business together and the trails and business that you're just looking and saying God We're just I tell you all of this because we can relate Everything that you have gone through or going through right now I think that we have been there and we know that the trial by fire is something that God does in us whether it be 21 years 50 years or just two years to build our character and to build our faith in him and when we say trial by fire I'm going back to first Peter because Peter wrote a letter You know Peter was a very fiery apostle You know he was the one that you know wanted to jump out of the boat when Jesus was walking on the water He was all gung-ho and then he ended up sinking and then he was the one who denied Jesus the one who took out his sword and cut off You know the the servants ear when Jesus was in the garden when he was betrayed I mean he was just he was very emotional with things so when he's talking about trial by fire He's probably gone through a lot of that himself and he's writing a letter and in the first lecture that could have been self-created It was just his personality and we all know Peter's in our lives and and we love them We love that we all have Peter moments in our lives.
Yes, we do more than we would like to claim or accept But Jesus loved him and loved that zeal and passion that he had for God that he's telling us in First Peter beginning in chapter one in six and seven He's he's letting us know that we as believers that we're going to go through some difficult times I'm not telling you something that you don't already know. You're like, hey, that's me Veronica I'm going through some really hard times right now Well, he is telling us that it is that we are to rejoice in these difficult times And you're thinking I don't see my way through that but he says in this greatly rejoice though for a little while That's great comfort that this trial is just a little while if need be you have been grieved by various trials That in the genuineness of your faith being much more than precious than gold your faith is much more precious than gold That perishes though. It is tested by fire May be found to praise honor and glory to the revelation of Jesus Christ Our faith is tested in the fire the genuineness of our faith is tested and we grow stronger through these trials by faith But even when we look back at the process We can always see and there's a refiners fire process that we've all walked through We don't see it at the time but when we go back and we look back at it We'll say wow, you know you going through what we did the first two years of our marriage You're not being saved you being on drugs and alcohol and we'll just leave it at that whatever else and then being delivered from that We look back from that is part of our testimony of the salvation of Jesus Christ going through that with my grandmother in the early 2001 when she was with a massive stroke the pre the matriarch of our family the great prayer in her sister that the doctor said That there was no hope get the funeral arrangements ready and I rose up and I said you don't have the last word here God does my faith was tested by fire You know many things we declare many things we hold on to because God wants to build our character in all of these things But we can look back now since we're through it and we could say we learned a great lesson through that You know without a test. There's no testimony So if you've got a testimony out, you know, you've gone through these trials and it is It's a very uncomfortable place to be in every five days So very and we all know we feel alone Yes, you feel that even God has forgotten you you just you know, you can get so low and we have friends we've been there We had times in our in our not in our walk with God But I think maybe in some of the personal things that we were challenged with that we were there We were just and there was a time with this ministry even that we didn't think God was going to further it on so many challenges So many things we couldn't control had come against it.
We couldn't get the couldn't get the recordings done We couldn't get the things to to the TV station and and it was just it was so it was so cumbersome And it was so unpleasing to God we we got the point where we weren't sure what we were bringing to the people who were wanting to listen to us How pleasing it was to God and we just say God, you know, if this isn't you, you know, we want to serve you You know, there comes times when you just wonder if you can go on But thankfully God just showed us open the door and made things happen and here all these years later We're still with you and even the wonderful thing is then we were we were going to five states now We're going around the world into 117 nations around the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ The enemy wants to get you to that point where you want to give up and you want to go because God's got something great for you When you come out of refiners fire, you're gonna be a little pure than you were when you went into it You're going to be in a better position to do the will of God to do the things of God once you've made it to the other side The enemy wants us to give up in the middle of it shake it off and say I've had enough You know, I'm not there's got to be something different and better when we all know that he is a liar He is a deceiver He is a deceiver of the brethren is what the word tells us and when we get into these times when these trials seems so hot Seems so difficult seem so overwhelming that we can't see the light at the end of the tunnel That's when we just look to God and we can have that peace the Bible tells and Philippians That peace that passes all understanding that means the world doesn't get it The world doesn't promote it the world doesn't tell you about it But God's word says you can have that peace that passes all understanding when you give him thanks And you praise him and you look to the author the creator the finisher He's gonna take us all the way to the end I can tell you the end that we have with him is a beautiful thing I've read about it. How beautiful it's going to be the golden streets the big pearl gates I mean just the awesomeness of being in the presence of God all the angelic beings everyone that's gone before us Our homes there are new glorified bodies. Well, what a beautiful beautiful reward That's the end we have with Christ Jesus What's the end we have when we let the enemy dissuade us and lead us away from the truth of God's word We have an end that it says will be gnashing of teeth in into a hellish environment For eternity, you know, our lives are by the vapor. They're short.
They're they're quick and sweet We're here and we're gone We talked about david preparing the way for Solomon You know because he knew the end of his life was near and he talked about how short life is And we want to want you to understand that life is that short and we know the deceiver wants to convince us that this refiners fire Is not going to grow us to the things of God It is going to allow us to perish somehow in this life If we don't manipulate it change it rather than praise God through it because God will go through it with us If we will allow him to be with us, it's us who push him away. He doesn't push us away It's us who make that choice to say I'm not going to listen to that voice that I know is the right voice I want that hope that's what you have to keep telling yourself through this I have hope in Christ Jesus. The only hope you have in the nemesis is you have a promise But it's not a promise that you want. It's not a promise that you work for It is a promise that is given to you when you choose to have that and Christ says you have a different choice And that refiners fire is one of those tools that is used to groom us as his children You know, we hate to do that with our children We hate to correct them We hate to hate to do things that that we know are good for them that are painful for them right now But we still do them because we love them The reason why we go through these refiners because God loves us And he will go through them with us if we will just allow him to do that I've never liked it veronic and I don't think that I ever will but but I do know that regardless we've gone through them We've gone and thankfully we've gone through them together I hope that everyone out there has someone to go through these fires with you You have the Lord Jesus to go through them with if you have no one physically That you can touch him and speak to go through them with you the Lord will be there with you But it's so wonderful when you when you have someone that can build you up and lift you up That's what we tell you fellowship is so important because we can't do it all on our own We're not a one-man show It takes us all to build and lift each other up to be able to get through these times and to see the destiny that God has For some of the other stuff.
There's a purpose there is a purpose for the refiners fire I remember the Lord telling me I was crying out I was in the middle of a fiery trial And he reminded me of the three Hebrew boys in the book of daniel He said I didn't deliver them from the fire But I delivered them through the fire That's when they saw the deliverance And again when I was going through a horrific time in my life and just two years ago two and a half years ago now That there was a brain tumor. You know I was going through brain surgery and I'm like God Where are you? I've devoted my life to you. I've given everything I know to you And now I'm going to have to go through brain surgery I remember at three o'clock in the morning before that surgery hot tears rolling down my face And me looking up in this hot trial feeling alone and abandoned and I said God Where are you?
Where are you through all of this? I don't understand why I have to go through this and then that steel small voice Came to me the voice that I know because the voice the bible says that my sheep will know my voice That voice that said veronica do you trust me? He knows me by name call me by name. Do you trust me?
And in my spirit, I said yes, lord. I trust you. He said I am well able to deliver you from this fire But if you will allow me to walk with you through it. I will receive the glory I said let's go God And why am I telling you that today because I walked through that fire and he was with me and I came out of that fire My hair not singed literally and not smelling like smoke and that can be you today It's like god.
I know that I'm walking through this fire just to go through it with me I know there's a purpose and that testimony that I have from going through that fire I will tell until and I will ask my children and their children's children to tell it or as long as it can go for his glory How he delivered me from a brain tumor that I am here in front of you today speaking and seeing the doctors were very concerned that I would lose my sight because the tumor was lying on my optic nerve But here I am looking at you today and what a great god we serve It reminds me of the silver smith and the gold smith that they will take Reprobate pieces of gold and silver and they will put it in a smelting pot and heat it to a Temperature that the gold and the silver will turn into liquid And then if there are impurities in that silver and gold then they will come to the top And then that silver smith will just rake the draw says we call it right off of the top And he will keep doing that he will keep heating it and you're saying god I am in this furnace I had told god that I'm ready to get out now and god says no, I don't think I'm finished There's a purpose and that he will rake off with a ladle the top part of that draw until That gold or silver when the silver smith looks into the smelting pot then he can see his reflection. It's that pure That's why we go through these fiery trials because we can see the face of Jesus Jesus can see himself and us that we've gone through it in those impurities that have been in us that we didn't probably even know that we're there That have come to the top and then he can mold us and shape us and make us into what he has called us to be But he we don't like going through those fiery trials and many times we go through them more often than not But we know that it is a refining process that we can look back on and we can say thank you as Peter tells us that we can Rejoice now for a little while rejoice, you know, and I tend to be a baby through those fiery trials I cry out and why not to god we need her you could have get me out of here and he's like be patient with me Just be patient. I'm doing a work in you and I'm like are you not finished yet? No It's heated a little bit more but oh that he can look at me and see his reflection in me It's worth it all buddy.
You know that that gives us strength Veronica to go through these trials Just knowing how he loves us how much he loves us and he's there for us. No, not to answer every question I've always said, you know, if god showed up there everybody would say why why this why that god? Why you know We trust him but then even when we get to heaven we say I've heard people say when I get to heaven I'm gonna ask god. We won't even care.
It's not even we're just gonna be rejoicing in his presence forever and no, there was a purpose We trust him through these trials in the book of Jeremiah. It's it's beautiful when you read in Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11 It says for I know you know that I hope that's you For I do know this for I know the thought that I think toward you says the Lord Thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope Hey, that's good enough for me if god says those are his thoughts toward me That's all I need to know future and a hope so when I have a doubt I need to rebuke that doubt in the name of Jesus. Say god you gave me future and a hope I don't see it right now But my faith tells me that I love you because of the things that I have not seen that's what I hope for That's what that hope is that hope is in god in the things that we don't see we don't understand all the wise that we have inside of us We don't even need to harbor those things. We just need to say okay, god.
You said you have a hope in a future for me I don't know what it is, but that's good enough for me god If you tell me I'm gonna go down this road I'm gonna have to struggle through it a bit forgive me If I wine and I cry some father forgive me if I fall a little bit short of where I really need to be I'm gonna look to you in those week times for your strength And I'm gonna recall the fact that you said for me for buddy McLaughlin for everyone that's hearing this voice today That you have a hope and a future in Christ Jesus you do you're going to get beyond this circumstance You're going to get beyond this trial. You're going to get beyond this thing that seems like this huge mountain That's in front of you and we have all these beautiful scriptures in the bible to go to To help us to lift us up to carry us to make us stronger to help us in this when we're in a refinery fire It's just like the Hebrew boys. They weren't in their alone. There was a fourth man in there We have the fourth man right here in this word.
We have the fourth man to call upon We have the fourth man to call down those strongholds that try to come into our life We use the word of god. We use that to encourage ourselves We use that to to discourage the enemy Because he can't step across that bloodline When you read those things that are written and read when you remind him of what god says about you that you're a child of god Yeah, he may have the document said you have can't you say i'm a child of god and god has given me hope and a future And I don't know what that is, but that's what i'm standing upon today. God I trust you to change this circumstance in my life I look to you father to change my husband to change my wife to to harness my children to to rope them in god to where they Come back to the foundation that we placed in them father I look to you to restore my finances I look to you father for this new opportunity in my life I look to you lord for me to find a way out of of this place the enemy has tried to lead me in to discourage me to Describe my spirit because I know when you god I have what a hope and I have a future and you do don't ever let the enemy convince you that you do I don't know you don't I don't know where you are in your walk today I don't know where you are in life today, but I do know and if you know the lord jesus christ is your lord and savior This is your promise this future and this hope that I speak of is yours All you have to do is receive him into your heart to love him enough to trust him enough to change your situation To get you out of this struggle that you're in and all you have to say lord forgive me if my sins I know i'm a sinner. I know you died on the cross for my sins You were buried in your rose again father and you live at the right hand of god forgive me and make me that's all you have to do You you can now rejoice in knowing that there is a hope in a future on the other side of this of this Situation that you found yourself in god will be there waiting to love you to To just not harass you as the enemy does but to love you and caress you Oh, it's beautiful that we have these promises It really is and in the darkest times in the darkest valleys and trials of my life when I've been on my knees That's when I felt closest to the lord in that process knowing that he's loving me through it And I can praise him through anything through any hardship I know that he is there with me that he's leading me.
He's guiding me He does have those beautiful plans for my life And to know that when we go through the fire that that fire burns off many of the ties that bind us Then we can have freedom to rejoice and praise him Why are we going through this things because jesus is preparing us for his glorious coming He's shaping us and making us and molding us to be the mighty men and women of god that he has called us to be And his coming is soon. So we have to be prepared We have to go through things but we do have a future We have a beautiful hope in him and we have a confidence in him to know that his plan for our lives is perfect Have a beautiful mother and the lord madlin flatcher who's 85 years young and she says to me quite often veronica If it's good for him. It's good for me. If it's good for god She said, you know, he knows what he's doing So if he's allowing you to go through some things He's allowing you to go through some hardships Then just let the fire just burn those impurities right out of you So that you can be a perfect vessel for the lord jesus christ to use So god as peters said Let us rejoice for a little while because we know that these trials will strengthen our faith The genuineness of our faith will build our character in him and our faith go grow stronger with each trial Each thing that we've been through buddy our faith has grown so that we can tell you How do you get through a marriage whose your husband or wife isn't saved?
Well, you're looking at them right here. How do you get through a diagnosis of cancer? You're looking at it right here. How do you get through a diagnosis of a brain tumor?
You're looking through it right here so that our faith will build your faith as we have gotten through it Now we are telling you whatever you are going through today The fiery trial that you are in right now just know that jesus is right there with you He is the fourth man in the fire.
