Hello and welcome to One on One with Buddy in Veronica. We are so honored to come into your home with the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with hope, with peace, with joy, and it is truly the good news. And Buddy, we need good news now more than ever before. And his name is Jesus.

Yes. You know, it's so wonderful that we have the Lord in our lives. I mean, things get crazy. I mean, we see it.

We're hopefully not a part of it, but we see it. You know, we understand that there are so many distractions for you to walk with the Lord. And what we try to do is come into your homes and get you refocused on the wonderful things that God has to offer for us. And how much he loves us in the hope that Veronica talks about is we know we have the hope of a wonderful eternity, but we have the hope of enjoying each day of our lives, each day of this walk is so precious.

And we have so much opportunity to do God's work, each and every one of us, not just us today speaking to you, but we're speaking into you. So you can take this and you can go out into the hedges and highways and the byways and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a needy and hungry world. People are looking for hope. People are looking for answers, especially after the recent election.

It didn't turn out the way that we had prayed, but we know that God has a plan and we trust God's plan. He knows exactly what is going on and we don't give up. We make a stand and we know that by faith God's plan is going to be perfect. Things are going to be revealed.

And when we stand back and look at what God has done, we are going to be in total amazement. So the question that people are asking us almost daily, so what now? What now? What now?

And you want the answer? Have faith in God. You know that will make all that desperation in the tone of that question disappear. Yes.

Just absolutely. If you just say, you know, why is my faith been questioned? You know, what do I need to do to really encourage others and to let them see that faith in God is the solution to every issue we're going to face? And this is, yes, it's been a long drawn out process, but God is still on the throne.

I still worship the same Lord in heaven that hasn't changed a thing. I still get the opportunity to love His children the same way I've always loved them and to pray for those who don't understand that they will be like me and one day recognize that they need God too. So we've got such a wonderful plethora of tools to use and things to remember God's word is so encouraging when we get into it about so what do we do now? Well, it's faith.

And I was raised in a household of faith. What I've come to realize is that when the rubber meets the road, many people start ringing their hands and they're like, what do we do? I've realized that and seen that. I was raised with grandparents, a grandfather who got radically sold out for Jesus at 16 years old, felt the call of God on his life, knew the voice of God when God said, you go preach my gospel and what did he do all summer long?

He would spade gardens and many young people don't know what spade is. You would take a hoe and you would get the weeds out of the gardens. He did that all summer long, made $3.98 in the depression. He took that money, ordered a suit from Spiegel, a mail order catalog, had a tin suitcase and a Bible.

He went on the side of the road. He stuck out his thumb and he said, God, if you told me to preach, I'm going to the church, let's go preach. That's how it was raised. If God tells you something, you put it into action and he's going to do it.

There was a man with a car in that day in the Appalachian Hills of Virginia. He said, where are you going son? My grandfather didn't know. He looked at the man and he said, wherever you're going, that's where I'm going.

He went to a place called Appalachian Virginia and it was in the evening time. He found a little white church. He walked up the steps, came in the door and there was an old matriarch and he could hear the prayers on the inside of that church and my grandfather would tell this story that I would love to hear over and over again. A little lady came back and she said, son, are you a preacher?

Had not preached a sermon. But he and faith said, yes ma'am, I am. She said, well, come on, we've been praying for revival. They started preaching, had a three week revival.

Three hundred people gave their hearts to God. Why? Because this man stepped out on faith and he said, yes, God, I am going to follow the call and three hundred souls were saved and that's how the ministry began. So we know what now you follow the direction of God, you have faith and we go back to our what now moments.

We all have what now moments. We just live through a what now moment where the enemy wants to just obliterate our dreams, but now we stand like never before. Something should be stirred on the inside of us to walk by faith, not what we see, but what God has promised. God has promised to love us, to love America and that our best days are ahead.

And regardless of what the enemy does or does not do, it will make no effect because God's word will come to pass. The Holy Spirit woke me up just a few weeks ago out of a deep sleep, spoke to my spirit and he said, my word will never fail. So what now? We trust God.

We go in faith. We go back to the illustrations that we have in God's word with men and women of God that they had the same what now moments. You know, I went back to Genesis and I see that God was preparing to destroy the world with a flood. There was one man and it only takes one person, one family to stand up.

It said that Noah walked with God. I'm going to choose to walk with God through this. So God spoke to Noah and he said, I've repented that I've made man because it's become so evil, but I'm going to spare you and I'm going to spare your family. These are the directions that you need.

You need to build the ark. Once it's built, I want you to go in, stay there because there's going to come rain and a flood. Well, Noah had never seen rain before. There had been a mist to come up out of the ground to water the earth.

But what did he do? He and his sons started building the ark by faith. After the ark was built, it tells us in Genesis 616 that Noah and his family went into the ark with the animals that God had prepared to save. They went in the ark and the Bible says God shut the door.

There are sometimes in our lives that God just shuts the door for a purpose. We can't question when God shut stores. God also opens doors. At this particular pivotal time in our season, God's closed some doors and now we're in the safety of that ark.

What's so fascinating to me is that it didn't begin to rain all at once. They were in the ark before it started to rain for seven days. What kept them in the ark? Their faith.

That they are in there. God shut the door. They knew what he had promised. That's a trying of the faith.

I think that we're in that season. We're in the ark. God shut the door on some things and now we're ready for it to rain. Can you imagine the conversations that Noah and his wife and the family, the animals?

It's hard enough. We have dogs and we have cats. You're in the house. You can let them in and out.

But you're in an ark confined for seven days with nothing. You can hear the jeers of the people outside. So what are you doing in there, Noah? Are you crazy or something?

You know, sometimes it looks like we have some crazy faith until it begins to rain. You feel like, God, have I missed you? Have I heard from you? Am I just stupid for listening to this?

And then it begins to rain. We may be in that interim that we are in that period of the ark where God, there's a promise and then there's a manifestation of that promise. But we want to be real clear in standing on God's word. What God promised is going to come to pass.

God has not changed his mind on us. He's not changed his mind on America. And we are going to see the rain. We are going to see an outpouring of God's spirit.

We are going to see a wave of his glory like never before because we know that's what God promised. So what do we do when people ask, why do we do now? We have faith in God. Yes.

It reminds me of Abraham when he was going up the mountain with his promise, taking his son of that mountain. And we didn't see it. No one saw it. He didn't see it.

And I had faith that God said, this is what I need you to do. This is a road I need you to go. And he went that road, but there was a ram coming up the other side of the mountain. No one saw it.

I'm telling you, in America today there is a ram coming up the other side of the mountain. We don't see it. We don't know what it is, but God will provide that for us. He just wants us to be faithful to him.

Just as Abraham was faithful. He wanted us to have that type of deep love foundation of faith in our lives that could be so evident to take his promise to give it back to God. And that's what we have to do. I know we've all failed today.

We had a promise. And somehow we lost. But what we did is we gave that promise back to God. We had faith that whatever course it would take, God would take it that course.

Well, here we are. We've turned the page a new day. And I know this as Veronica said, much better days are yet to come. The best is yet to come in my life and in your life.

And in the children of God's promises for their life. I mean, I love the fact that you go back through God's Word and you read over and over and over again how insurmountable odds, unbelievable conditions, things that you just couldn't not see the other side of be anything but destructive or terrible that God turned completely around for our good and for his glory. And he is going to do the same for us now. And that's the attitude we've got to present to the world.

That we've got faith in a great God. We don't understand. He says in his word that his ways are not airways, his thoughts are not air thoughts. They are much higher.

And we've got to accept that. And we've got to promote that as part of what we believe. It says the Bible says the world doesn't comprehend it and they will not comprehend it. So we can't expect to get a round of applause or some sympathy from a cold, dark, angry group that doesn't have any clue about God.

But what we do is we just pepper God and the faith that we have on that part of the world that it will change, that it will see the light. And God has that same promise for them. That's really love and your faith, that true foundation with God is that we love him enough that we take him at his word. We believe in him.

And for us to be able to accept the things that God is changing, we can't do it. I mean, Veronica is impatient. I'm impatient. We all get impatient.

We want to do things in and of ourselves. But we can do nothing in and of ourselves. We have to always have our trust and faith in God. And when we step outside that, we see the frustration, the fear, the concern, the overwhelming desolation that comes with a life alone without God.

Because that's usually, you can count on it. When you've stepped outside of God's will, you're going to feel alone. You're going to feel that separation with God. So if you're feeling that right now, it's not God's left you.

It's that you have stepped aside from the Lord. You need to draw back in. Put your faith where the foundation was when God said, hey, I just love you. You know, I don't care what you've done.

I don't care what you've been into. I don't care what life you've had. Hey, I gave my son and he shed that blood. And I love you unconditionally.

Now, that's the wonderful thing is we can all fall short Romans tell us we all fall short of the glory of God. But it doesn't change the fact that God loves us. And that his promises are yes and amen. And those are yours today.

No Veronica, it's been difficult. I mean, it has. It's been a crazy churning time in our country. And there's been, you know, it's just so obvious.

I mean, the black is black and white is white and the gray area is so minute in this country. And people really get lost in trying to prove a point that sometimes it's better left for God to run, take the ball and run with it than us trying to push him out of the way and run with it ourselves. Well, it's human nature many times to do that. And we have to understand in these moments that we say what now that our faith is turned to a God who loves us, who has our best interest at heart.

You know, so many times when I was looking through the Bible, there are hundreds of what now moments. You know, it's hard just to pick two or three to tell you, you know, some of the significant ones in our lives that have really come true to us. But we see, you know, even with God's children, whom he loved, who just came from Egypt and they were rejoicing and they thought that they were just through it until they look back and we see this in Exodus beginning in 14 and 10. It says Pharaoh drew near to the children of Israel again.

They thought they were through with the enemy. Then they look back and here he comes again and he is pushing them to the edge of the Red Sea. There's nowhere to go. If they turn back to Egypt, they're running right back into Pharaoh and his army who will destroy them or take them bondage back into Egypt.

And then they're looking at this ocean and you're looking up to heaven and you're saying, well, what now God? Here we are. Many times we feel like that in our lives too. And Moses told the children of Israel and this is what God is speaking to us today in Exodus 14, 13.

And Moses looked at the people and he knew that Pharaoh was pursuing them because he was standing on the edge of the Red Sea and he saw Pharaoh's mighty army coming. And Moses said, do not be afraid. Stay in steel and see the salvation of the Lord. That's where we are right now in this moment where we say, God, what do we do?

We have faith in you. First, we are not afraid. Then we are still. We need to quiet our emotions.

We need to get in that secret place with the Lord and we need then to see the salvation of the Lord and we know the story. We know what's getting ready to happen that when it looked impossible, their back was against the wall that God instructs Moses to stretch out the rod and the Red Sea opens and they open, they go across on dry ground. They're on the other side. Then the enemy comes in to pursue.

Moses puts the rod back over the Red Sea. It closes up and the enemies were seen no more. That's how God does things. When we are still, when we are not afraid, when we quiet our spirits and when we trust Him.

Yes, we are at some pivotal times. We've been at some pivotal times in our personal life, in our nation, in the world, going through a pandemic, but we have to know that God loves us and we trust Him and we have faith in Him. We also go to the story in Daniel with the three Hebrew boys. They're standing there and King Nebuchadnezzar builds this huge statue and he says, when the music plays, you're going to bow.

Well, they say, we can't worship anybody, but God, we're not bowing. That's where we are now. We are not going to bow to immorality. We're not going to bow to the tactics of the enemy.

We are not going to bow. We are going to stand on God's word and promise. The enemy became so furious at them. He said, if you don't bow, I'm going to throw you into the fiery furnace.

Buddy, can you imagine the Hebrew boys looking and saying, you know, we can't do this. We're not going to bow. So what now? So they're taken to the edge of the furnace.

And then the king says, are you going to bow? And they said, that's not even a question with us. Why would you even question our integrity and who we are? He said, our God is well able to deliver us.

But if he doesn't, we are not going to bow. So what the king Nebuchadnezzar do in the story in Daniel when we read it, he push him into the fiery furnace. And it was so hot that the guards who pushed him in were destroyed. They were burned to a crisp.

But then what happens in the midst of the fiery furnace? King Nebuchadnezzar looks in and he says, you know, we threw these men bound in their clothes in there and something is going on. There's a fourth man walking around in the furnace and he looks like the son of God. What happens at this what now moment?

Yeah, God reminded me that I didn't deliver them from the fire. I delivered them out of the fire because I am getting ready to walk with you through the fire. Yeah, it may be hot. We may be walking through the fire right now.

We may be looking at each other, but I want to tell you something happens in that fire that our chains, the things that have been binding us are broken off of us. That was the only thing that was burned that what they bound them with when they threw them into the fire. Now let's have the fire of the Holy Spirit take those vines from us, take the things that have held us down, take our insecurities, let our mouths be an instrument to praise God through all of this and let people know, yes, what do we do now? We have faith in God.

We trust Him. No matter what we are facing, we are going to trust Him. He loves us. He will take care of us.

And as He spoke to me, my word will never fail. We can go all through the Bible and pick these out. I mean, we can have hours of sermons of what now moments when God always, always comes through. You know, and we've survived these what now moments in this country.

You know, we were just talking before we started taping here in the studio about the depression. We had to imagine the day after the stock market failed, the what now is the suicides, the people had lost everything. I mean, the direction looked just terrible. And it was terrible for quite some time.

But the people had faith that people stood up and they put their faith in God. Yes, they had to struggle a bit. Sometimes, you know, that refiners fire and we've talked about is so uncomfortable. But God will take these times and these situations to refine us into the man or the woman of God that he wants us to be.

But we have to retain that strong foundation of faith. We've got to hold on to the truth of God's word. Do you imagine if the Hebrew boys had looked at Nebuchadnezzar and said, oh no, let's think. Let's get our heads together.

Yeah, let's get our heads together. Yeah, maybe, maybe, you know, that looks pretty hot. No, none of us want to go through fire. None of us, you know, we're at this point.

None of us wanted to go through what we're going through right now. It just, there's something that pricks us to the very core. But we're there and we walk through the fire and we trust him and we know that God is always with us. He will never, ever fail us.

You know, and also one of those, also in the book of Daniel, of what now moment was with Daniel. You know, again, you know, the people were looking, they said there was an edict that went out that he could not pray to his God. And he said, well, I'm sorry, I'm going to make a stand. I'm praying.

And the men turned him in and said, they were so jealous against him. They wanted to destroy him. They went to the king. And they said, you know, this man is still praying.

And he's like, well, we're going to throw him into the lion's den. But what's so awesome is before they did that, the king had a special love for Daniel because he saw his heart. And he said, I'm going to have to do this because I had this edict. He said, but your God whom you serve continually will deliver you.

And the king had faith to know that the God whom Daniel loved and prayed for. I'm sure as Daniel was getting ready to walk into that den and saw the hungry lions and then they were roaring, you know, we hear the roar of those lions today that we know that when Daniel was cast in there for his faith that he went in and then all night long, the king could not sleep. And he went to the den the next morning and he said, the king spoke and said, servant of the living God, has your God saved you whom you serve continually from the lion's den? And then Daniel said to the king, oh king, live forever.

My God sent an angel to deliver me and the lions did not hurt me. I don't care what God has to do if he has to send an angel. If he has to do something supernaturally, when we stand for God with our convictions, he is going to deliver us. But buddy, I think the biggest what now moment when I look back in the New Testament, I see the disciples standing looking up at their promise, their Savior, our Savior, nailed to a cross.

The man who they had had all their hopes and dreams in was dying and died in front of their eyes. It may look like our promise has died right in front of us, but I want to speak hope into you today, just like the disciples. They didn't realize that there was a third day coming, even though they buried Jesus in that tomb. There was a third day in resurrection.

I want to declare over you today, there is a third day for us coming. There is resurrection coming. And we are standing firm in that belief. We know that it may look bleak now, but we have joy to know that Jesus has given us a promise and it will come to pass.

So take hope. The best is yet to come and the third day will soon be here. So what do we do now? We praise the Lord.

Yes. We praise God and thank Him for allowing us to be a part of this great revival that is going to be ushered into this country. Yes, that ram is coming up the backside of the mountain. We may not see it at this moment, but it is coming.

And we are going to be able to really enjoy the beautiful things that God has for our lives. And we are going to bear witness for Him through this process. Everyone that Veronica just spoke of bore witness for God. May God use their faith.

May God use their words. May God use their actions to glorify Him. So that is the thing that we do. If you would just stop for a moment and just say, okay, I have got to go into the situation, I know what I am looking at, how am I going to glorify God in this?

Instead of saying, this could be bad for me, this could be bad for for a buddy. You say, God, what can I do for you? How can I make you glorified? How can I make you larger in this world and let them see your love and goodness and grace and circumstance?

Well, that is what we are doing now is a nation. As the children of God, we are lifting up the King of King and the Lord of Lords that He may be glorified and great. Well, we love you and God loves you until we see you again next week. Remember that God is always faithful.
