Founders of Dove Song Ministries, Buddy and Veronica McGlothlin demonstrate a unique flow in the gifts of the Spirit in their travels across the US and abroad. As they share the life-changing Word and pray for those in attendance at their meetings, healing and deliverance begin to manifest. Visitors are healed of cancer and other documented diseases. Disturbed souls who participate in cutting and other destructive behaviors find freedom. New songs burst forth, drawing men and women deeper into the holy presence of God. But most importantly to Buddy and Veronica, everyone is without question stirred to renew hope and encouraged, “Don’t ever give up!”

Hello and welcome to one-on-one. We are so pleased that you've chosen Christian programming to be in your homes and we are honored and blessed that you have chosen us by the Veronica McLaughlin to come and to break the bread of life with you and bring the good news to the gospel. This wonderful technology and wherever you're hearing us from and we know we thank you so much for letting us know that you're watching, thankfully enjoying it. It's terrible when somebody says, oh, y'all are awful.

I've never heard that before. Have you heard that before? Thank you for not saying that. Thank you for not saying that.

Thank you for not saying that. We know we get so many wonderful encouraging cards and letters and emails. Thank you so much. You know that our hearts are to uplift and to encourage and to give you the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And we're just real. We're just transparent and we're telling you things that God has downloaded into our spirits and also things that we go through each and every day so that you can hold on to those promises and hold on to God's word. To know that if he's done it for us, he's going to do it for you as well. We like to share those things because God loves us so much.

I mean, I find myself now when I'm praying, I always say, God, you just thank you for showing your love on us like you do. And he does. This world is just so pushy. It's so hard to really maneuver through it, finding time.

I know it's hard for many of you who are watching us to carve this time out of your busy days. And when we tell you, we appreciate you doing that. We know how difficult that is. We know the sacrifices that are made to get into the house of God, to get into God's word, to have a time of fellowship.

And we thank you that it's with us at this moment. But we want to share God's word to help you maneuver these things in life because I'm telling you, it can get overwhelmed. It is a wonderful one right now. We are.

We are. It's a joyous time. You know, that's the trick of the enemy to really steal the joy from the things that God wants to give us joy and pleasure for. You know, the thread of our ministry, really, you'll hear us say, keep up the faith, keep up the fight.

You are the best as yet to come. You know, we're pushing through it. Don't ever give up. God's word never fails.

I mean, and how to fight and how to do spiritual warfare, how to get into God's word, how to receive your healing, because both of us have been supernaturally healed. Buddy from thyroid cancer and me from a brain tumor. Yes, I'm telling you, that's what God does. And he wants to do for you as well.

But going through all of this, the enemy wants to laden us down. He wants to oppress us. You have to understand that we are in a spirit world. We don't fight with flesh and blood.

That's what Ephesians 612 tells us. We fight with principalities against powers in high places. We have to know there's a hierarchy and they are out to destroy us. We can't be ignorant of that.

We have to understand this is a spiritual battle. So when you're feeling this oppression or you're feeling depression or heaviness, understand that this is coming from a demonic spirit. This is a spirit of fear, usually that's coming to try to overtake you. Oh, it'll never get any better.

Or oh, you'll never be healed. Or oh, your marriage will never be restored. You'll not get through this one. And then you start entertaining those thoughts and then it gets into your spirit.

Don't allow that to happen. Recognize it when it hits. Now we are planning a wedding for our oldest daughter. And it's a joyous time.

It's been an exciting time since she was engaged. And we see two young people who love the Lord, who really want to serve the Lord. And then we get all involved in this wedding planning. I do anyway, buddy.

And I'm like, buddy, give me the checkbook. And I think it gets overwhelming. And the enemy is trying to steal that joy from us. During one of those times, I was sitting at a dress fitting and all of these girls were around there trying to find shoes and dresses.

And I'm like, whoo, it just came in. And I'm like, wow, how are we going to be able to manage this and to get through all that? The Holy Spirit then spoke to me right in the middle of it, something I didn't expect. He said, don't push through this.

And I'm like, well, I thought you made me to push through this. I'm a fighter. We push through things. He said, don't push through this.

Enjoy this special time. Enjoy it because this is the special time that she won't ever have again, that you won't have again in her life with you being her parents. Step back. Enjoy this.

A special breath to enjoy the planning. Enjoy all that goes into this special day. That's right. Right.

And I was reminded, you know, and Jesus told us in John 10, 10, and you'll hear us say that a lot because we understand that's what the enemy does. Jesus said the thief or the enemy, Satan, he comes in to steal first. He steals. He wants to steal that joy.

He wants to steal your peace. He just wants to steal your peace of mind. He wants to come to steal, to kill, to kill us not only physically, but kill us spiritually, to press us, to press us. And then he wants to destroy us.

That's his goal. That's the enemy's goal. And he said, but I have come to give you life and to give it to you more abundantly. What does that mean?

That means bigly. That means more abundantly. That means Ephesians 3 20. More than you can ever think or ask.

That's the abundance that God wants to give us. That's the abundance of the joy, the peace, the contentment, the finances. God says, I want to give that to you abundantly. Just turn it all over to me.

Trust me with it. Know that I have the plan and I'm going to take care of it. It's wonderful to know that we have a heavenly Father who loves us, who cares. He cares for us, who is concerned about the things that we are concerned with.

He saw me in that wedding boutique and he saw that I was being overwhelmed. And that's when he came and said, don't push through it. Enjoy this. And then my mind goes back to both of our girls when they started preschool, when they started kindergarten, middle school, high school, college.

And I'm thinking, it's all gone. It happens so quickly. And now before you know it, October 16th will be here and it will be gone. And I want to enjoy this time.

We want you to enjoy the time that God has given you whatever you may be going through today. And yes, we've gone through some hard things. We've gone through some hard days. But David told us that this is the day the Lord has made.

Let us rejoice and be glad in that. In Psalms 118, 24, he said, no matter what the circumstances are. And David, buddy, we know we went through some hard circumstances. He went through some horrific times.

He was on the run from Saul. He had been anointed king. Saul wanted to kill him. His best friends abandoned him.

There were times his wife abandoned him. He went through some difficult times, but still he wrote this Psalm. This is the day. Right now is the day.

Buddy, we don't have the promise of tomorrow. That's why we need to rejoice in this day. When we see the sun come up, we need to raise our hands and we say, God, regardless of these circumstances, regardless of this trial, I still have breath in my body to praise you. And we're going to rejoice in this day and not rush through it, not press through it because the enemy's so pushy.

He wants to push us into everything. He wants to overwhelm us. But when we step back and we take a breath and we say, God, thank you for this time. It really puts things in perspective for me, buddy.

When the Holy Spirit spoke to me, I just had to step back and I'm like, enjoy the chaos of the shoes flying and the dresses that we can't find. Enjoy it. And you know God worked that situation out as well. We always, we just humanly characteristic is to put sideboards on our plate and just keep piling it on.

Yes. And God makes it so simple for us. Just like when you listen to him. Yeah, I mean, this wedding is a pretty big deal.

I first did not realize that, but I have come to realize that it's for the... It is a production, isn't it? It is going to be a pretty big deal. So it's, but it's going to be wonderful.

I'm looking forward to it. I really am. I haven't looked forward to everything. But once we get through it, it's okay.

I'm taking him step by step and I'm holding his hand and asking very gently for the credit card. It'll be fine. But you know, God tells us if we'll just wake up every day and we'll put on the armor that he prepares for us that he's given us. And then we can stand, we can stand the wiles of anything that he throws at us.

It's so wonderful. If we have a God that loves us that much and he's already equipped us, shame on us when we say, okay, I'm going to grab this, this, this, this, this. I'm going to start working on it. When God said, hey, look, just put a suit up with me first.

Suit up with me. And then I'll make the rest of your day a victory. You know, sometimes in her carnal minds, we don't know what that victory is going to look like. I know at the beginning of that day that Veronica got into that she's speaking of.

I know that she felt the arrows of the enemy all coming at one time, basically. But that's the Holy Spirit then comes and just soothes her soul. And thankfully she could hear the voice. You know, many times we let the world and the woes, the worries, the challenges, drown out what the Holy Spirit is trying to do in us.

That's when we really need to say, okay, what does it take for me to stand right now? And what we do is we put on that armor and we stand. We put on everything that the Lord gives us. You know, and the only way we're going to do that is to get into His word, pray.

Man, I do it all the time. I mean, I get in the middle of some things that are very difficult and I just have to stop and I have to push it all aside, unload the plates, so to speak. When I was a kid, I always equated it to having that little red flyer wagon. You know, I would load that thing up and finally get to where it was no pleasure at all to pull.

I couldn't get in it and ride it when it was a downhill thing because I had too much stuff in it. Life can be that way too. And when we find ourselves in that position, we got to start unloading some things. Hey, it's okay not to be able to tackle everything that's on your plate at the same time in the same day when you can just enjoy the journey.

God tells us to enjoy this journey. You know, as Veronica said, life is but a vapor. If we will look beyond where we are at this moment and all the calamity that's going on around us, the chaos that's going on around us, the challenges that we have, the things that we need to do, that we're trying to do, the limitations that seem to be placed on us, the resources that aren't there, that we really wish were there. When we focus on all those things, it clouds the opportunity for us to see the goal line, to be able to get to where we're going and do it in a way that we enjoy the journey.

This life is a journey but it's a short one. It's really a vapor. It's not much. I mean a vapor is here and it's gone.

And when you look at what we're doing and talking to you right now, it's just a part of this very brief time that we have. So, drink this in so it will make the rest of your journey to eternity, one that is pleasurable, one that you can cherish. You know, actually when we were Veronica and I don't have a lot of time together but when we do, we cherish it. We milk every minute out of the day and sometimes we look at it and say, you think there's anything else we can do?

Is that it? Have we done it all? And we'll laugh but it's so pleasurable when you're doing it because it is a labor of love. You know, when we labor in love, it's not really labor, it's joy wrapped up as a little bit of work.

That's all. And we need to approach life that way. Let our lives be things that we enjoy and let that joy be wrapped up in a little bit of that work. But carry the joy with us.

It can get overwhelming. I know. It can get difficult. Yes.

It can sometimes just take our breath away, just push us almost to the ground. But that's okay because what we can do then is start unloading that little red wagon, that little red flyer that we pull around with us, start taking out all the unnecessary things, start focusing on the necessary things. And first and foremost, that would be the Lord in your life. That would be Jesus to say, I'm here to help you.

You know, we have to call upon that name, Jesus. And I can tell you, I've never been in a service, never had a prayer meeting, never had a conversation. When the name Jesus, the word Jesus, would surface the things that already start getting better. And Veronica knew that when the Holy Spirit had spoken to her that Jesus was standing there saying, look, child, enjoy the journey.

Enjoy the walk, enjoy the time. We can do this. You can do this. I know, many of you say, buddy, you have arrived.

You don't know our lives. You don't know what we're going through. I know sometimes we look like we hope we look like we've got it all together. But I can tell you, we face every single challenge, every single day that everyone else faces.

We just choose to put God first in our life to have the joy. We want to have that joy and that peace. And when we try to help each other through it, I hope you have a helpmate. A friend, a confidant, a church, a group, someone that you can call on.

But first call on the name of Jesus. And he will come immediately at your disposal to help you with your problem. Right now, he's a right now God on time every time if he was just allowing to enter in. It's so important.

And walking through this journey and his buddy was telling us, and James 414, James was telling us, he said, what is your life? What is this life? You look at it and you say, well, I was young once and now I'm old. What happened?

You know, I've got gray hair. What happened? It's like a vapor that appears for a little time and then it vanishes away. That's our lives.

I mean, when we're young, we think that we're just bulletproof and invincible. And we saw some of those coming to the TV studio today and they were doing wheelies on motorcycles. That's 70 miles an hour. I hope their mother is praying for them.

This is just a vapor. You don't think about it. You look back through your life and you say, how did we get to where we are right now? It's happened so quickly.

It's been like a vapor. And then soon it's gone. And I look at loved ones whom I've had in my life who I grew up with friends who I no longer have or my grandparents or my dad. I'm like, they were here in my life and now they're gone.

And we have to take advantage of each day of each moment that we have because we don't have a promise of tomorrow. We don't have that promise. You know, we have to make this day count. Make this day count.

What can you do? Don't waste another moment. Don't waste another day. I mean, we can grumble.

We can complain. We can feel sorry for ourselves, but it doesn't do us any good. We can rise up from where we are and say, God help me to make this day count. What can I do for you?

What can I do in your kingdom? Let me labor in your kingdom. My prayer is every day, God, who can I witness to? Who can I minister to today?

Even though I may not be behind the pulpit that day, who can I still minister to? Our lives are a ministry that we need to live each and every day because when we're standing before God, He's going to say, what did you do with the time I allotted you? And we're not going to want to say, oh, well, I don't want to miss one opportunity. I don't want to miss another opportunity to do what God has called us to do.

In 1 Corinthians 15 and 58, Paul is telling us, he says, therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, be immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. He said, this is the journey now that you're going through every single day. I want you to be steadfast. I want you to be immovable.

I want you to be abounding in the work of the Lord. Make this day count so that your labor is not in vain. God does not want anything that we do to be in vain. And really, the only thing that we do for Christ on this earth is the only thing that's going to last.

I know that my loved ones in heaven. They could come back for one day. They would just burn it up with evangelism. They would be on the street saying, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, they would be in the store saying, Jesus, do you know him?

Do you know him? Please accept him. And so many times, how many opportunities have you and I missed just to tell others about the love of Jesus. That's why he's saying, don't let this be in vain.

Don't waste another day. Don't have another bad day. Now, it doesn't mean that circumstances aren't going to come. It doesn't mean that doctors' reports are not going to come or things are not going to come and your finances are with your children.

We know we've been through everything and we've been steadfast. And we've been immovable. And times we've been on the floors crying out to God saying, God, where are you? And he'll say, I'm right here.

I'm right with you in this day. Don't be afraid to walk with God in this day. Don't think about tomorrow. Tomorrow will take care of itself.

You know why? Because God's already there in that reassuring buddy to know that we're going through this day. We can't change anything in the past. Oh my goodness, we would all change some things in the past.

Big books. I would like to change in the past. But we can't. But we can make a difference in this day.

And we can make a difference in our future because God is in our future. And we need to rejoice in each and every day. And buddy, I have to say, you're one of the people every day, people ask me, does Buddy Magloft one smile all the time? He does.

He really does. You live with that joy. It doesn't mean that he doesn't get upset or he doesn't get frustrated or he doesn't get stressed. But through these times, you're always looking at the bright side.

You're saying it may be bad now, but man, I think it'll be better. I'm just going to get through this day. I'm not going to lose my faith. Don't lose your faith.

Don't grow bitter. Do you know we know people now who left serving God or don't even go to church anymore because somebody's hurt them? You need to just forget about that. Forget about it.

Don't get your eyes on people. Keep your eyes on Jesus and know that God has a work for you to do just like he has a work for us to do. And we don't want the enemy to steal that work from us each and every day. This is a social pass.

Yes. I mean, that is something that I say to myself over it. Every day. I try to encourage other people with that because it will.

This is just another day in a chain of days that the enemy is going to come and try to steal, kill and destroy, as Veronica said. And we just have to recognize what we're fighting against. No, it's not fun. It's not.

And I understand that. But the thing I know is that I can look in the eye and say, you're a loser because you lose. I've read the end of the book. I know what your destiny is.

And I know what my destiny is. You know, if we have that assurance, if we understand that, that as we run this race, we just make the best of each and every day that we can, we can't control the days. I remember teaching a men's class and it was about how many things in life we concern ourselves with and how many things we can actually control. And 96% of the things that we fear in life never even happen, never even occur.

All the things we're wrestling with in our mind don't even come about. And of the remaining 4%, we only have direct control over 2% of that. So the enemy knows our frailties. He knows that he can make us wrestle with this 98% of stuff and steal the joy from our lives.

He can pile the plate that full if we sit there with our spoon and our fork and our knife and we make a meal of it. And what we're trying to encourage you to do today is do not dine at that table. The table the Lord sets for us is a table divine. A table of peace and joy.

A table of no fear of victory. And he says if we feel that fear, we need to rebuke it. We need to call it down. It's a stronghold of the enemy.

Don't let the enemy eat at your table. Don't make them welcome in your home. Don't make them welcome in your mind. Because our mind is the battlefield where the enemy will come to obstruct the tools, the good things that God has given us to fight this fight with.

He will try to fill us up with falsehoods, with untruths, with all of these things that we think are so terrible that are going to come and envelop us and they're not. God says that his way is easy. His yoke is light. When you feel the heaviness, recognize who that is.

Call it down. The name of Jesus. I know some people don't like to hear that. There are demonic forces, spirits that oppress God's people.

Well, I'm telling you, yes, they are behind every bush. Yes, they are. And they are there waiting to take you down if you're a believer in Christ Jesus. If you're not, hey, they're probably running right alongside of you and you need to get rid of those things in your life.

And you can do that by just asking Jesus to come into your life. You can have this assurance, the strength that Christians have. You know, we're not weak. We're not meek about things.

We'll call the things as they are that the Bible tells us clearly how to deal with them. Veronica, this is a great and timely message because I'm telling you, the world is shoveling it on right now. And they're wanting to try to steal our voices, to steal the path that will lead to good, godly things. Exactly.

And we're not going to allow that to happen. We're not going to allow the enemy to overwhelm us. We're not going to just push through each day and just try to get to the next thing. We're going to enjoy this journey, buddy.

As you say, God wants us to enjoy it. And once our voice is to be heard, rise up and stand up and say, I'm not living like this anymore. That's what I had to do. I'm going to enjoy this time.

I'm not going to be overwhelmed. I'm going to enjoy the season in our daughter's life so that we can now have a new son-in-law and that we can have an extended family. And the enemy's not going to steal that joke. Whatever you're going through like that today, it may not be planning a wedding, but it may be something else.

And you're going to stand up and you're going to allow the enemies to, your voice to be heard. And you're going to say, I'm not doing it anymore. I'm going to enjoy this day. I'm going to enjoy my life because this is the day that the Lord has given me.

And I'm going to make a difference in somebody's life today. I'm going to speak encouragement into somebody's life today. Make that a challenge each and every day. Well, we have so enjoyed coming into your home to give you the good news of Jesus Christ.
