Hello and welcome to one on one. We are so pleased that you've chosen Christian programming to be in your homes and we are honored and blessed that you have chosen us, Buddy and Veronica McLaughlin, to come and to break the bread of life with you and bring the good news of the gospel through this awesome technology and wherever you're hearing this from. We're just very appreciative that you're carving out the time and your busy days and we know how busy those days can be, but thank you for joining us today. We're going to share with you some wonderful nuggets and I'm going to lead it off by talking about Veronica.
I'm surprised. That's a great way to start it off with the... Well, Veronica loves to the end of the story. I mean, if we want to watch a movie, she would love to see the end of it and rewind it all the way to the beginning.
But I'm the total opposite. I do not like to know the ending. I like to see what the pieces of the puzzle to put together to get to the ending. But Veronica's always put together well.
As you well know, she's there, she's always so beautiful and she wakes up and she looks almost like this. That isn't that much. And then she just takes this little magic wand and goes in the bathroom, comes out and voila. But it's a lot of voila.
This is the end of the story, which is... Wow, yeah, I like the ending better than the beginning. But today I'm going to join with you and we're going to talk about the end of a beautiful book, the Bible and talk about what that really means for us today. Let's roll it back in and put the pieces of the puzzle together.
It works. Yes. So we know, and that's what gives us hope. And it's not that I don't like the element of surprise.
There are times I do. Sometimes I like the element of surprise. But how comforting it is to know that we know the end of the story. We know when we're going through this life in this journey and it can be very difficult.
It's very hard. We know we've gone through things and you know our story of where many of you do. And we know what you are going through as well. We know that you get doctor's reports.
We read your emails, our hearts go out to you and we pray for you. We get your phone calls, we get your letters. It's very difficult. And if we didn't have this hope to hold on to and to look to, then it would be a very depressing life.
But we have hope to know that when Jesus came and he gave his life and he rose again for us that we have victory. But then we have that ultimate victory where Satan is defeated and he is cast into the lake of fire forever and ever so that we can spend eternity with our creator, our heavenly father. And that he has great plans for us even in eternity. It's exciting to know the end of the story.
You know, and the wonderful thing about today is with the end of the story, we're going to talk about the resources that God gives us to meet these challenges that we face every day because they are, they're challenges. They test their faith. And sometimes it can cloud the beautiful ending of this book at the point that we feel defeated. And God never means for us to feel defeated.
He gives us the resources we need to fight this good fight of faith, to receive this hope so joyfully and cheerfully every day. I mean, I wake up every day and I just praise God for opening my eyes and for allowing me to enter into a new day to bless me with the opportunities that we have, you know, there'll be challenges that come too. But I know one of the wonderful things are the tools that God gives me, that we talk about between us all time when we pray for you, when we hold you up, believing God to do wonderful things in your life, when we hear the trouble that the world seems to really throw on God's children and the doctors' reports that sometimes are not what you want to hear, but we still have this promise. And if you've got your Bible, it's won't you turn to Revelations?
And we're gonna jump right in in chapter 20. Yes, and this is the end of the book. And this is something that we have hoped, you know, Revelation 20 beginning in verse one. And this is the revelation that John had on the Isle of Patmos.
And this is a prophecy that we know is going to come to pass. Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having a key to the bottomless pit, a great chain in his hand, and he laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the devil, who is Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and he cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up and set a seal on him so that he should not deceive the nations anymore until a thousand years were finished. But after these things, he will be released for a little while, and I saw thrones, and then that said on them, and judgment was committed to them, and I saw the souls of them who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus. And for the word of God who had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands.
And they lived and they rained with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection.
Over such the second death has no power, and they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him a thousand years. And then when the thousand years had expired, Satan will be released from his prison, and he will go out and deceive the nations where he is on the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, together them together for the battle, whose number is the sand of the sea. Then they went up on the breadth of the earth, and surrounded the camp of the saints, and the beloved city, and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. The devil who had deceived them was cast.
This is it. This is the end of the end. It's over. He can no longer vex and torment God's people again, because the one who had deceived them had been cast into the lake of fire, and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
And then it goes on to tell us about the new Jerusalem, about what we are going to experience, we, his believers, who will be in the new heaven and a new earth, and that we will be there in the city of God forever and ever without Satan, without the dragon, without the one who has been there to deceive us since the beginning of time, the end. We do live happily ever after. All things will be made new. All things made new.
So this is, I love reading the end of the story. This gives me hope to know whatever we are going through today, whatever the enemy, the tactics have come into our lives, that at the end that he is ultimately defeated and he will be no more. And I want to do a happy dance. I want to say hallelujah.
It is done. It is finished. And why? Because we are the believers of Christ.
We take part in this. Jesus said, I have gone to prepare a place for you. And that place will be with him forever in eternity. But before we get there, as Buddy was saying, God has given us tools to make it through to the end.
You know, I love this because it takes him back to Ecclesiastes when Solomon said this is the conclusion of the matter. It's over. Yes. All we have to say about that.
Yes. And the enemy knows his demise. The enemy knows this is going to happen. That's why he is working overtime.
He knows that his time is short. And he is coming at us with everything that he knows to come at us. We can see what's going on in the nation, in the world. We see what has happened with COVID.
Tried to wipe out the human race. He doesn't have the authority and power because Jesus Christ, our Savior came. He bled and he died and gave us that total victory. That is our hope.
And we have the total victory knowing in the end that this is Satan's demise. And here's what we're saying today. He knows his future. He doesn't want to hear it.
But we want to tell him that this is where he is going. And this is where he will be in the lake of fire forever and ever. That's a long time. You know, when you roll back the pages of the Bible from here, you will read about strife, troubles, tribulations.
You'll read about battles that we fight every day. And we roll it back to us today. And I know there are many of you fighting battles today. We're struggling to keep our families together.
We're wrestling with the world to try to let our families understand that this is the conclusion of the story, that we're going to have to fight these battles along the way. And I know Veronica has preached this great sermon. I've always loved it. And it's about suiting up.
It's about, you know, she's a suit up, you know, getting ready to fight because we're going to have to fight. We don't have a choice. We are in the battle, whether we want to be or not. And we can let the enemy just whip on us or we can fight back.
And God gives us the tools to fight back. You know, tools are important things. It's kind of like I was joking about Veronica being this beautiful one, which he is. But honestly, she has some great tools to use to look as good as she looks.
And she uses them magnificently. And you know, I've got tools. I've got an old farm tractor and I'm ashamed. I've got a toolbox on the back of it.
But that's so I can fix all the stuff that I tear up as I abuse the tractor totally opposite of what Veronica uses her tools for. You know, we have specialized tools. As we go through our lives, you know, we have plumbers that come in that specialized tools. Automotive tools are very specialized.
I mean, the equipment business, equipment tools are very specialized. You've got to understand the tools that you need for the job. And the electrician, he doesn't use the same thing as an automotive guy uses because the automotive guy is facing a whole different challenge than the electrician is facing. And when we talk with you and we read your letters, we pray with everyone, we know that we're fighting different battles, all the same battlefield.
This nemesis that we just talked about that's going to be defeated is fighting us on every front, coming, trying to not allow us to enjoy the peace, enjoy the victory that we have coming. Hey, I'm enjoying this victory every day. Yes, sometimes it's a little more painful day than the day before, sometimes a little more challenging day than the day before, but I'm still looking to the prize. I know what the prize is and I know what his reward is.
And it's not something that he wants to rejoice in. So he's going to make us pay the price here upon this earth by plaguing us, by tacking our families, by causing these terrible calamities to go on, people to fight and hate and have all this disrespect for each other. He is seeding these things. The enemy is seeding these things.
Veronica, when we were talking about this coming down the road, Frank said, you know, the one thing, the one thing that he doesn't use in his arsenal is love. He'll use everything else. He will use every desire that we have other than love because love will heal those things. So we've got to grab hold, Veronica, of the knowledge that God gives us, of the resources that are our spiritually to stand up each day and to fight this.
Well, we had to know how to use the tools. Now, if I would give Betty my box of makeup, you would see a totally different man. He would look, he would not look. Well, you saw it just a moment ago.
She gave me a thing to get my face out of it before we came out of here. It wasn't good. It wasn't good. As we say in the mountains, he calmed this all over his face.
You know, you have to be trained. You have to know I couldn't use your tractor tools. I wouldn't. I know how to use a screwdriver and that's about it.
But if I tried to use it, I have to have the training. You have to have special training. You get into the Word of God. This is your toolbox.
This is where you go to combat the enemy when he brings in his tools of hatred, of envy, of jealousy, and pride and strife. That's how you combat. You get into the Word of God and you suit up. And that is one thing.
The Lord spoke to me. He said, I am love. And the enemy does not know how to combat love. When he comes with hate, when he comes with bitterness, when he comes with strife, and when you counteract that with love, he has to back down because God is love.
But then we understand that we have specialized tools. And when I say, suit up, you have to know how to fight in this battle before we get to the end. That glorious end that we told you about, that glorious home that we are going to. But in the meantime, we have to protect ourselves.
We have to train ourselves. And we have to suit up so that we will know the tactics of the enemy when he comes at us with the arsenal of all of his weapons that we will understand that we can go to Ephesians 6 and 10. And this is one of my favorite scriptures because it tells us how to war. It tells us how to fight.
It tells us how to stand. And Paul was telling the Ephesians, finally, my brethren, be strong in the power of his might. There's power in God. Know who you are.
If you are blood-balled, you're a believer. You know Jesus Christ. Then you have that same power that raised Jesus from the dead. That same power lives on the inside of you.
There is power with God. We don't serve a wimpy God. He's given us the power so that we understand to put on the entire armor of God. When you're going into battle, you want to know that somebody is there backing you up.
I remember I was going into a meeting not long ago and I was praying and the Lord spoke to me and he said, you say it. And my word will back you up. And I'm like, yes God. And then I declared healing.
I declared restoration. I declared that the enemy, the tactics that were coming against God's people, we saw tremendous miracles in that meeting. When things would come rolling out of my mouth, I knew that God was backing me up. There was a man there that had been diagnosed with spinal bifida since he had been born, had not run in 14 years.
God healed his leg, a nerve that had been severed, that he didn't have feeling in his left leg. God healed him that night. I told him to do something he had not done before. He said, caught him off guard.
He didn't know what to do. He said, but in that next week he was just barely walking his dog. And that word came to him. Do something that you haven't done before.
He said, it came over him. There was a power and a mite. And he said, I started running my dog because I had feeling in my leg. That's the power of God.
And when we suit up and when we put on this armor, we can stand. That's what it says that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil or the sneak attacks of the devil. The enemy is so sneaky. He always comes in undercover.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against the powers of the rulers of the darkness of this age, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness and heavenly places. Therefore, take up the entire armor of God that you may be able to stand in having done all than you stand. And this is your armor. And having your waist girded with truth and truth is the word of God.
You have to know the truth. Having girded with your breastplate of righteousness, having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace and above all, taking on the shield of faith that you will be able to withstand the fiery darts of the wicked one. Take on the helmet of salvation and also take up the sword of the spirit and also pray with prayer and supplication in the spirit. Your Bible is your sword.
That's your tool. That's your only offensive weapon. So use it. Learn how to use it.
Learn how to wheel it. And we can go through every one of these and how we can gird ourselves. But the most important tool that we have is the word of God, which is the sort of the spirit. And that's how we cut the enemy's tactics so that he cannot destroy us.
I'll say be watchful to the end and do this with perseverance. Every time. That's what that means. Not just when you think of it.
Go into battle realizing that you have all this at your disposal. These are yours to use today. Yes, you know, he was mentioning these way back years ago. But these are the tools that God gives us today.
This book is chock full of battles of victories, battles of victories. Because God's people when they turn to God, when they look to him first, watchful to this end, my watch to this end is to look to God. When things come to challenge me, I look to God for the answers. I look to God for the solutions.
I look to God for the people to help accompany me through this battle. Sometimes we need help. Sometimes we have to reach out and people need to join together and joyfully share the burdens of one another to help fight this good fight. Sometimes it gets very heavy.
Sometimes it gets the point where we can't pray. We can't lift our eyes to heaven and feel comfortable looking toward the eyes of God. But that's okay. If you're there, you just reach out to someone else that's very capable and able and want to join with you to fight this good fight because you do have the tools.
Sit up. Just like Veronica always says, suit up. Do not run away. Do not cowl down to the enemy.
The enemy is defeated and he knows it. You have victory. You have that. You've got a hope that he doesn't have.
You have a promise that is fleeting from him. Each and every day he loses more and more of any hope. He fights harder and harder and he uses other people and he attacks different parts of our families, our workplaces, our communities, our churches. He will be relentless.
And that's why we have to do this with perseverance. We don't stop. We don't say, oh man, I give up. It's just too much for me to bear.
I can't handle this anymore. I know it gets heavy. We've had these reports in our families. We've had the disastrous things, the doctors look in your eyes and tell you don't want to hear.
We fought the fights through the medical part of it, but we never, ever let go of God's hand. Ever let go of God's hand. We would put on the armor. We would pick up the word.
We would help each other bear those burdens. There were many others of you who joined with us, praying with us, believing with us for God to do great things. And he did each and every time. And we believe that for your life today.
I don't know where you are. I don't know how desperately the enemy has tried to take your hope and your promise and your joy from you. But today we want to count that restored. We're telling you to suit up, stand in the armor of God.
Take that word that says I am healed by the blood of Jesus I am covered. He can't cross this bloodline and come against my family any longer. No, those things are not going to be today as they were yesterday. We're starting on a new adventure with Christ at the helm, but we have to do that by allowing God to come first in everything.
So I'm going to ask you where you are today if you're struggling. Have you been fighting it on your own? Have you not allowed God to step up and to be the Lord of your life? He's out to Hovijahra.
He provides for us, yes, but he goes before us. He knows what we're facing. He knows what the battle is going to be. And he gives us what we need to fight that good fight.
We want to encourage you today. We want to join with you in prayer because I believe that God is going to change lives at this moment. Yes, I feel that too. As well.
And that word keeps resounding in my spirit, the perseverance we don't give up. We don't give in. We know that we are in a battle, but we know that we win. We've read the end of the book.
We understand where the enemy is going and we know that we're going to have total victory. You are going to have total victory today. Know who you are in Christ Jesus. Suit up, put on this armor and understand that the devil is defeated even when he comes in with the sneak attacks.
We're going to join and pray for you right now under the anointing and the power of the Holy Spirit. Father, I thank you for this opportunity that we have had with your children. The ones that you came and you gave your son Jesus Christ for, bled and died for. God, I thank you for that blood.
Through that blood is life. Through that blood is truth and through that blood is victory. Now we are setting our faith into perfect agreement for your children. Now you know the tactics of the enemy that are coming against them.
We're coming against depression. Now you will go in Jesus name. Every anxiety, every oppression, every heaviness will go by the authority of Jesus Christ. We speak to cancer.
You must dry up now by the authority of Jesus Christ. Diabetes will go. Heart conditions will go. Arthritis will go.
Now in the name of Jesus. There's a lady who is watching me. You've been so desirous of a child and the doctors have said that you can't have children. I am declaring that your womb will have life now in the name of Jesus.
God says now receive what you have asked me for. The Lord would say to you, is there anything too hard for me to do? Now spring up within you life in the name of Jesus. So diseases that you have been born with.
We are coming against that just like spinal bifida. We know what the doctors have said, but we know the report of the Lord. And we are using the tool of Jesus Christ, the Word of God, in Psalms 103.3. The Lord told us that He healed all sickness and all disease.
I want you to say all. All. All. That's for you today.
I want you to claim that. Receive that. COPD. If you've had any lung issues, just receive the healing into your lungs right now in the name of Jesus.
This is your day. This is your time. And this is your season, says the Lord. He is coming to you in a special way today to encourage you to give you a hope and to give you a future.
He loves you today. Now receives that into your spirit in Jesus mighty name. Hallelujah. We've seen all these things happen.
You receive these things. Take the tools out of the toolbox. There are no good lying dormant. Take them out.
Put them to use. Let the Word of God become productive in your life. Let the Word of God open your eyes each morning and whisper you to sleep every night. Let the love of God surround you.
The peace of God surrounds your home and your family. Let his miracles be prevalent in your home today, in your situation, whatever you've been praying for. We're believing with you for each and every one of those things to come to pass because we know that God's Word never fails. He will never leave you.
Amen. But we love you. Yes. And God loves you.
