There are many myths in our society about LGBTIQ parenting. For more than 15 years, researchers have explored these ideas and found that our children do just as well as children in heterosexual households. Many leading child welfare, psychological and child health organisations have issued statements declaring that a parent’s sexual orientation is irrelevant to his or her ability to raise a child.
