Malokdo ve, da je najvplivnejši slovenski zdravnik v resnici zdravnica. Še manj ljudi dejansko pozna ime slovenske kirurginje, ki se ga zadnja desetletja trudijo izgovarjati profesorji medicine na mnogih univerzah po svetu. Zora Janžekovič, ki je v visoki starosti umrla leta 2015, je velika zvezda svetovne medicinske znanosti. Čeprav je do svojih izjemnih spoznanj prišla med delom v eni od slovenskih bolnišnic, je pri nas še vedno ne pozna skorajda nihče. O njeni pomembnosti za razvoj medicine priča podatek, da v učbenikih kirurgije ni navedena le z imenom, ampak tudi s fotografijo, medicinska spletna revija Medscape, ki jo redno spremljajo zdravniki z vsega sveta, pa jo je uvrstila na seznam 25 najvplivnejših zdravnikov 20. stoletja.
