Show Notes Operation Groundhog Day Feb 2, 2023. Groundhog day. We are all familiar with the famous groundhog Punxsutawney Phil emerging from his sub-terrain home to predict the weather forecast for the next 6 weeks. But what is not so widely known, according to declassified documents, back in 1961 the CIA planned an operation with the same name. The mission, to use mind control and hypnosis on a group of individuals so that they would have an uncontrollable impulse to ‘commit a nuisance’ on Groundhog Day.
