Given the rising prevalence of periodontal disease , particularly as demographics shift towards an older population more susceptible to the condition, 70% of adults over 65 suffer from periodontal disease. It's imperative to note that periodontal diseases is linked to poorer health outcomes. Given these facts and the link between periodontal disease and systemic co-morbidities, unchecked progression can pose significant costs burdens on the healthcare system, emphasizing the need for public health intervention.
