Original Design: Obedience, Prayer and Unity

The small things in our spiritual lives matter tremendously to God. Just as basketball coach John Wooden taught players to properly put on socks and shoes before focusing on advanced skills, we must master spiritual fundamentals. In Acts 1, the disciples demonstrated three crucial elements before receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost: obedience to Jesus' instructions, unity of heart and purpose, and devoted prayer. These seemingly simple practices create the foundation for God's blessing and breakthrough.
