OS 1301: It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like The Christmas Show…

from The Outdoors Show

Capt. Kirk was out to see his granddaughter’s graduation (CONGRATULATIONS, MADI!!!!), so Capt. Kevin and Jeff called on Capt. Leon Dana to sit in. There was a whole lot of fishing talk…along with some reminiscing, which is always a great conversation. Throw in a live, in-studio electric pole saw mishap*, and you’ve got another great show!   *No hosts were harmed in the making of this episode. The same cannot be said of a random studio ceiling tile… Here’s your L.V. Hiers gear tip of the week: you’ll wanna be at the Christmas Show next week, because there will be all kinds of great ‘gear’ up for grabs from businesses including Thigpen Heating and Cooling, Coastal Equipment, Interstate Batteries Jacksonville, Consignment Boat Sales, CSS Fireplaces & Outdoor Living and more! Here’s your Ring Power CAT tip of the week: Join us for our Christmas show and LIVE remote next Saturday, December 16th at 7am at Ring Power CAT in Saint Augustine. Here’s your KirbyCo Builders, Inc cooking tip of the week: THE BEST lamb in town is at Cline’s Custom Meats! They will gladly cut the meat into ‘lollipops’ for you. Season both sides olive oil, salt, pepper and rosemary salt (Jeff used Livia’s seasoning which we’ve talked about before). Sear in a very hot cast iron skillet for 3 minutes each side. If you’re doing a lot of lollipops (as seen here) Transfer to a ‘copper crisper’ if you have one or a baking sheet will do. Broil for 3 minutes to crisp the top and serve. Perfect splurge for the holidays! Facebook
