OS 1347: We’re Back Outside…Pants Optional

from The Outdoors Show

Capt. Kirk was out doing some OSR, so Capt. Kevin and Jeff welcomed in Dave Edwards once again to sit in and drop some knowledge on everyone! Lots of topics were covered, but for some reason, everybody kept coming back to dropping their pants for one reason or another.  Why, you ask?  Sometimes, it’s better not to ask. And in case you forgot… VOTE “YES” ON AMENDMENT 2!!! Here’s a great article from Ducks Unlimited about the amendment, and why you should vote “yes”: https://www.ducks.org/newsroom/florida-du-yes-on-2 Here’s your L.V. Hiers gear tip of the week from Dave Edwards: Use a thermal monocular for quicker blood trailing & recovery of deer. Used one last week on a bow kill…went right to the deer. Lots of options. Get what you pay for but range from $400- $4,000. He’s got a FLIR…more on the upper end. But the cheaper ones like AGM brand will get the job done! Here’s your Ring Power CAT tip of the week: There are a ton of sheepshead and black drum from Palm Valley to south of St. Augustine. When you’re buying your bait you might want to mix in a cup of fiddlers! Here’s your KirbyCo Builders, Inc cooking tip of the week from Producer Chris: We’ve been using the Ninja Woodfire Pro Connect Premium XL for all kinds of stuff since we got it. It grills, smokes, air crisps, bakes, roasts, broils and dehydrates. The XL will hold up to 10 steaks, a 10-lb brisket, or TWO 7-lb chickens! You can even get the app to control it from your phone. $450 on Amazon.  BONUS TIP: My wife found Kona Wood Pellets for the perfect smoky flavor, regardless of what we’re cooking. $40 for the variety pack on Amazon.
