Our Government Should Help All Americans, Not Just the Rich

We’ve been brainwashed to believe that we should accept less than we actually deserve.We’ve been lied to and told that there’s some sort of nobility in suffering.We’ve been told that all this hardship is necessary.So, we can’t pay our rent. I won. Kneel before me. Sacrifice your offspring to the god of money.”Then he runs off for a fifty billion dollar wedding ceremony in some other country because he cares nothing for any of us. He wouldn’t want to accidentally hire a relative of one of his employees who runs a catering company.Heck, if he were back in the States, he wouldn’t pay his bills at all. Do you think he managed to collect a billion dollars by paying people? Do you think that came from responsibility? Do you think it came from following the rules?Of course not, the rules are for the innocent, powerless fools. The rules are for the rest of us. If we fail to pay our phone bill on time, they take the deed to our car. But if a billionaire doesn’t fulfill the terms of the employment contract he sighed… tough.He can steal, commit fraud, commit treason, and kill.At the end he’ll be a free and revered billionaire still.But somebody has to pay, so it will be you.And we all observe this and listen when our representatives lecture, “You’re asking for too much. There’s nothing we can do. We need more donations. We need more votes. We won’t pass any bills until we’ve turned 100% of the seats blue.”Come on!The fact is that if the government refuses to protect us, the billionaires are free to oppress and exploit us.You’ve spent your whole life worrying about terrorists abroad, while corporate marauders are wreaking havoc inside the wall.What about them?What about consumer protections? What about insisting that we are paid? What about contracts? What about rule of law?Meanwhile, everyone is so passive as our rights and freedoms are stripped away.“Those are entitlements, you don’t get any of those.”Life.Liberty.Happiness.Gone.At some point we have to stand up and say that this is not okay. We’ve been jumping at shadows. We’ve been lied to, we’ve been led astray.Why shouldn’t we ask for a livable wage?Why shouldn’t we demand that for our brothers, our sisters, or workers of any race, gender, sexual orientation, or age?Why the hell can’t we have that?Why can’t we discuss it?What is the price that must be paid?It seems to me is that it would be the end of sneering billionaires who are only rich because they never fulfill the promises they’ve made.This is unsustainable.This is untenable.This is immoral.This is an outrage.So stop obeying the conditioning. Now is the time to rage. Without us their factories crumble. Without us there is no golden age.We deserve our share.Stop surrendering in advance. Stop listening to the liars. Stand up with some demands. We don’t want the whole pie, just our piece. We control this government. We control this country.
