Brent and Anika Chrishon were in their early twenties when they exchanged their wedding vows in Anika’s hometown of Birmingham, AL in 1999. Like most newly married couples, they had high hopes and dreams of living happily ever after. Unfortunately, “happily ever after” lasted only a few months. Less than a year after they were married, Brent shocked Anika and announced that he no longer wanted to be married and had plans to return to his home state, Louisiana.Shortly after Brent announced his plans, he moved out and left Anika. She was left alone, confused, and brokenhearted. In her despair, she cried out to God. In His great mercy, our Heavenly Father placed some godly women in Anika’s life who encouraged her to pray for her husband and their marriage. Once they were reunited, Brent and Anika decided to become a missionary family. Brent took a 6-month training course for missionaries,then God opened the door for both of them to serve as missionaries in South Korea for approximately two years.Today Brent and Anika are happily married, and they have been blessed with five children - one daughter and four sons. They are thankful to God for reconciling their broken relationships with their Savior, Jesus Christ, and with each other. They want others to know God is able to mend, heal and restore broken relationships and make them better than they were in the beginning. To this end, Brent and Anika eagerly share their restored marriage testimony via public speaking engagements, interviews,social media, and they offer marriage support to groups, couples, and individuals. In an effort to further encourage others with their restored marriage testimony and offer powerful, practical principles to restore broken relationships, Anika recently published her first book, FIGHT for Your Marriage. God is using this book to transform lives and relationships, and it is currently available in paperback, e-book, audiobook, and videobook.
