Out About And Connected

Social Isolation and loneliness is something a lot of us have felt since COVID however this isn't a new issue for the older LGBTI+ community. In this episode Vanessa Pidwell (she/her), Support Officer for Switchboards Out and About Program, talks about the upcoming Out, About And Connected online event. This event aims to uplift and connect Lesbian, Bisexual/Pansexual women, Trans and Non-binary people over 50 with each other and services that will support and affirm our individual, unique journeys as we age.  We discuss the importance of this program especially in regional areas, the event itself and differences between the generations.  For the trivia segment Vanessa's LGBTIQ+ history knowledge was put to the test.
