The show aims to help provide a voice for the LGBTIQ+ community not only to help to ensure they are supported but also to reinforce that you should feel accepted as you are in the town you grew up in. We also aim to provide a segment that is inclusive to everybody that will spread awareness and progress people’s viewpoints. Our live version includes music and question time.     Out About And Connected

    Social Isolation and loneliness is something a lot of us have felt since COVID however this isn't a new issue for the older LGBTI+ community. In this episode Vanessa Pidwell (she/her), Support Officer for Switchboards Out and About Program, talks about the upcoming Out, About And Connected online event. This event aims to uplift and connect Lesbian, Bisexual/Pansexual women, Trans and Non-binary people over 50 with each other and services that will support and affirm our individual, unique journeys as we age.  We discuss the importance of this program especially in regional areas, the event itself and differences between the generations.  For the trivia segment Vanessa's LGBTIQ+ history knowledge was put to the test.     'Finding yourself another family' A discussion on this years Barwon Pride Cup and how it is much more than just playing football in rainbows.

    Pride Cup involves so much more than just playing football in rainbows. In the lead up to events participating teams are involved in education sessions and learn about how we can be more inclusive to the whole LGBTIQ+ community. Barwon Leagues Senior Womens Football Pride Cup in 2021 will feature two games at the Anthony Costa Oval in South Geelong on Sunday 27/06/21 1pm Division 2 - St Mary's (2) Vs. Drysdale and 3pm Division 1 - St Mary's (1) Vs. Grovedale.  Molly (she/her) and Grace (she/her) from Division 1 St Mary's discuss the 2019 event and what they are hoping to see at future events. Although this years event is scaled back we are glad to be back playing footy together. This will be St Mary' Division 2, Grovedale (Division 1) and Drysdale's (Division 2) first year involved in the Barwon Pride Cup. Steph (she/her) and Georgie (she/her) from Division 2 Drysdale Hawk's discuss visibility and acceptance over the years and how far we still have to go.     'Son: Dad I'm bisexual / Dad: Hi Bisexual, I'm Dad.' Exploring the letter B for Bisexual with Ethan

    This is our fifth episode of our series one redo. This series we explore the LGBTIQ+ acronym with guest presenters from the community. Please check out our first episode for this series for a broader understanding of sexuality and gender. Sarah has learnt a lot since beginning the show and as such decided a relaunch of series one for the one year anniversary would be perfect. This episode covers the letter 'B' for Bisexual with guest Ethan (he/him). It was important for us to have an interview with a bisexual man as we feel there isn't enough bi men representation! For current affairs in our community Sarah discussed Pope Francis and his recent change in heart towards our community. Although it's a small step, it's in the right direction! We explore the differences between bisexual and pansexuality and how for some people being bisexual really is the only stage.
