Out of the Ocean Comes A Literal Trash Bucket

I was feeling not so great. It was one of those weeks that had a fair amount of emotional turmoil. I had hung in there, but now, on a Friday, the pall of a light depression was seeping in. Like, this is it? Just jockeying from one challenge to the next? I was going to plop on the sand on Venice Beach with my books and cocoon into myself, when I saw the storms and low tide had dumped a ridiculous amount of trash on the beloved beach. As I walked around it, I wept. I mean, like I was emotionally moved at the plastic lids and take out containers that we just dump as humans into our beautiful bountiful ocean. I thought, I will just take a swim and give back to the ocean, and apologize, and in the midst of doing so, a literal trash bucket was vomited out of the ocean to me on the sand. I put it there, with the intention to fill it and when I finished my swim, another woman had started to fill the bucket. What then took place was nothing I could have predicted to bring my mood up, or have me feel like I mattered in this world.
