As humans, we've evolved to have strong, often unconscious reactions to thoughts and situations that might cause us to be in danger.  Sometimes we end up internalizing those thoughts and they become limiting beliefs that impact us far beyond what we might initially realize.  Lael Petersen shared some great insights in our conversation about these beliefs as well as why they're so common and nothing to feel shame around.

On Today's Episode of A Healthy Curiosity:

  • How to identify limiting beliefs
  • Techniques to help make the unconscious conscious and start changing beliefs
  • Why this is a process that takes practice and can be slow
  • The value of immersing yourself in ideas and visualizing the things that help you become the person you want to be.

Lael Petersen is a therapist turned life coach with over 18 years of experience helping women and their families thrive. Her years in private practice combined with her own personal healing journey give her a unique perspective on what it takes to "live our best lives." She currently leads an on-line community of women dedicated to prioritizing their health and mental health and sees clients privately as well.
