Overthinking and Intuition: Finding Balance (Bday Fun Day 3) {Ep 97}

from Tuesday Talks with Darleen · host Darleen Redman

Send us Fan MailWelcome to day three of Bday Fun. I’m thrilled to dive into a topic that resonates with so many of us: overthinking and how it impacts our intuition. Overthinking, for me, often feels like my mind is on an endless loop of thoughts. There are moments when I can barely catch a breath between racing ideas, and it can be incredibly draining. I’ve been on a journey to understand why I overthink and how it leads to decision paralysis, keeping me from living fully in the present. It’s a pattern I’m continuously working on, and even though it’s getting better, I still find myself caught in the cycle at times. I’ve learned that overthinking clouds my intuition, making it difficult to hear that inner voice guiding me. Sometimes, intuition tries to break through, but I’m too preoccupied to listen. I’ve discovered that taking time to rest, engage in activities I love, and simply be present can help reduce the noise in my mind. Whether it’s reading, going for a swim, or spending time with friends, these moments of clarity allow me to tune in and trust my intuition more deeply. Join me as I explore practical strategies to combat overthinking and embrace a more intuitive way of living. Thank you for being part of this journey, and I can’t wait to see you for day four! Highlights 🧠 Overthinking leads to mental exhaustion and decision paralysis. 🌊 Living in the moment reduces overthinking and enhances intuition. 🔍 Researching options helps in making informed decisions. 🎶 Engaging in restful activities promotes mental clarity. 🧘‍♀️ Listening to your body aids in managing overthinking. 🎨 Creative expression can ground you and reduce anxiety. 💖 Self-compassion is crucial when overcoming old patterns.
