Part 6 Ethics Chapter 43 Rights and Justice Section c. Private Property The capacity to own something is due to the innate freedom within persons, and this right is a reflection of that freedom as directed to the good to which that possessed can be ordered towards. As such, the person has no rights of ownership before God, but only before other people.  There is also the notion of collective property, like that owned within a family, which is not something that can be imposed by force, or said to be required by nature.  There is to the notion of public property, those possessions owned by the entire society vested on the state, to the extent that it is for the common good. When this ordering of public property and power ceases to be directed towards the common good, but towards the state itself or elsewhere is where society starts to manifest signs of totalitarianisms which runs contrary to the freedom of man and the family.

Waypoint Christian Church Clovis NM waypointnm We believe our mission at Waypoint is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. This is the ongoing mission that Christ has given His church throughout the centuries. This mission can be achieved only through Christ’s authority, power, and abiding presence. We desire to be a congregation that walks closely with Jesus and models our fellowship after His character and priorities. We believe there are three vital aspects to making disciples.1 Gospel-Centeredness (Ezek. 36:22-27, 1 Cor. 10:31, Ps. 127:1, John 15:4-11)In everything we do, we want it to be about who Jesus is, what He has done, and what He will continue to do. As His church, it is our joy to bring glory to God by worshiping and proclaiming Jesus. The gospel is our foundation and guiding point.2 Transformational Community (Rom. 12, Col. 3:1-4, Heb. 12:1-3, Eph. 4:1-7, Phil. 2:12)At Waypoint we want to meet people where they are but we do not want to leave them where they are.
