Pac-12 Media Day recap plus USC Fall Camp preview

In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Chris Trevino are back putting a bow on Pac-12 Media Day, talking about what head coach Lincoln Riley, quarterback Caleb Williams and linebacker Shane Lee had to say about this Trojan football team heading into the 2022 college football season. Expectations are high for this team and Riley talked about the goal of winning championships right away, which would be a remarkable turnaround considering the team went 4-8 last season.They also look ahead to what usually is the official start of the college football season, the opening of fall camp The Trojans hit the practice field for the first time on Friday and there are a few different wrinkles this time around. First, some of the practices will be held in the morning, something we haven't seen around the program in about a decade. There will also be more opportunities for the media to watch the first portions of practices and conduct interviews after the workout, similar to what we saw in the spring but certainly very different from what Riley's fall practice policy was at Oklahoma.
