La mitzvá de caridad obliga al judío a ayudar a un prójimo en necesidad con un regalo o un préstamo. En el año Sabático (que ocurre cada siete años), todos los préstamos deben ser perdonados y todos los sirvientes liberados. La parashá concluye con las leyes de los tres festivales de peregrinaje, Pesaj, Shavuot y Sucot, cuando todos deben ir a "ver y ser vistos" ante Elokim, en el santo Templo.
