Parenting Our Parents

from Liz Life Guru · host lizlifeguru

Not everyone has parents who are willing to parent selflessly. Many parents turn to their children for advice or disclose far too much adult information to their children. This may seem harmless, but it may throw your child into an adult world they are not ready for. These children, and into adulthood feel that it is their responsibility to help with all decisions related to their parents. This becomes a cross to bear for the child, leading to anger, resentment, and frustration. In this podcast, I will share my journey with my mother and the toll it took on me. You can love your parents and still need some distance. In the world of boundary making this may be another you’ll need….just for good measure….Peace    Psychology Today   Follow Liz on: Facebook Instagram   #LizLifeGuru #MentalHealth #Health #LizReed #PodcastNation #ParentingParents
