Rebbe Nachman reveals five expressions of joy that help a person rise from spiritual poverty. When someone gives even in lack, it shows a deep inner strength and simcha. The five offerings symbolize: 1) future joy when none is found now (solet), 2) finding good points within (chalot), 3) acting happy even when it feels fake (rekikim), 4) gratitude for revealed kindness (machvat), and 5) joy through dancing and movement (marcheshet). Each one offers a way out of sadness. The poor person, through these offerings, becomes rich with joy and connection to Hashem. If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends.
