Part One - Summary: Give me Enterprise or Give me Debt (refinancing America the Great Enterprise)
from The American Enterprise Manifesto: My America's Vision of Peace and Nonviolence for Humanism · host Jerry Rhoads
Why we need a third political party. Current government polarization is the result of not having a contrasting political philosophy. The prevailing poles are the capitalists (Republicans) and the socialists (Democrats) who spend 90% of their time fighting for power and power is money to finance their elections. Ironically the money they are spending is earned by the 200 million Enterprising Americans who pay their income, sales, property, etc. taxes. Regardless of party lines, the wealthy on the other hand claim they pay 90% of the taxes because they are the capitalists that make the enterprise work. On the other hand the lower to middle classes pay 46 different taxes (sales taxes being the largest, property taxes next and income taxes a distant third) and because of the disparity in wages and corporate executive salaries and bonuses, tax relief is going to the wealthy not the needy or best performers who make the wealthy what they are. The American Enterprise Party therefore would represent the largest voting block, the Enterprising American Workers, Retirees, and indigent population who depend on American Enterprise for a safety net. The party's platform brings capitalism and socialism together with the policies of the American Dream ... those that work and support their families in the pursuit of the American Dream (health, happiness and prosperity) have the opportunity to be secure in their health, education and jobs. It doesn't divide wealth but multiplies the gross national product by reinvesting the wealth for the benefit of all Americans. Give us enterprise or give us death because being free to be equal is what we work and dream for in our jobs and for our families.
