I have two main points. The first is about a structured communication format that I've been developing to enhance how we approach sending out information. It emphasizes understanding what motivates parents, staff, rental group contacts, and other stakeholders to *open*, *read*, *absorb*, *act on*, and *share* the messages they receive. This structure can simplify communication, whether for big changes or small updates.One of the key changes I hope we make is to be intentional in our communication. By using the "open, read, absorb, act, and share" framework, we can break down complex messages into manageable parts. This approach makes it easier to both plan and measure the impact of our communications.The second point relates to organizing tasks, particularly for those of us with ADHD, where breaking down projects into steps is critical. It’s common in roles like emergency services and camp management to find people who thrive in fast-paced settings but may struggle with complex planning due to ADHD. I recommend a tool called Goblin Tools. If you’re taking on a large or daunting project, this tool allows you to enter the project title or key concept, and it automatically breaks it down into actionable steps. This not only makes tasks less overwhelming but also helps in delegating or prioritizing effectively.
