In today’s podcast, we have Shawn Mcadam who has recently completed his Master’s program under the supervision of Professor Alexey Shevyakhov. His research focused on solving nonlinear partial differential equations and on implementing practical software implementations for the transport solver and FunC. By being a math passionate devotee since his undergraduate program, he was always keen on working towards his Master’s program. Previously, Shawn has also served as the president of the Mathematics and Statistics Student Society (MS^3) and has held positions of a teaching assistant. He was kind enough to share his experiences as an undergraduate student and some of his advice for future students.
