Party Like It's 1986

1986 was an important year for Milan’s history. It was the year that Silvio Berlusconi bought the club, beginning the years of big spending and no accountability. It was also the beginning of Sinisa Mihajlovic’ senior playing career. And it’s the year that seems to keep on giving, as Galliani seems stuck in the year 1986 as far as his transfer dealings, and now we have Mihajlovic, former Roma, Sampdoria, Lazio, and Inter player as the coach who is supposed to pull us out of a slump that is actually worse than where we were in 1986. So there’s nothing to celebrate, but for this podcast, we’re going to party like it’s 1986. I invited Jovan to this party, my former Milan Obsession co-blogger and the genius behind fantasyseriea.com and his other fantasy football sites. We talked about: • News of the Week: Serie A promotions, Mastour’s choice, Menez’ surgery, Abate’s wedding, Lyon friendly, Milan’s ticket campaign • Mercato: deals that are done • Galliani: living in 1986 • New Coach: looking at Mihajlovic Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:Cambria; mso-ascii-font-family:Cambria; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Cambria; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin;} Thanks again to Jovan for a great discussion and for sharing his valuable time with us. Check out fantasyseriea.com for the upcoming season for fun and a chance to choose your own players instead of just settling for Galliani’s free transfers.
