In this week's episode on the fruits of the spirit we define and discuss patience, kindness & goodness. Patience, Kindness & Goodness Patience - biblically also referred to as forbearance or endurance. Romans 5:4 NLT “And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.” Kindness - Ephesians 4:32 “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.” To be kind is not about feeding the poor or lending money to those in need. Kindness encompasses forgiveness, praying for one another and also showing love to all mankind. The display of kindness is majorly through love. When love exist in one’s life. It makes it possible for someone to be kind. Goodness - the fruit of goodness is the fruit of the spirit that gives the ability to do what is right. To be a good person is not limited to helping people. That is kindness. To be good is to accept what is right. To love justice, to not show favoritism and to obey the laws of God. Micah 6:8 “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” We must do justly, love mercy and have humility.
