Patrick Clancy Said His Wife Looked Like WHAT?!

Patrick Clancy has said his wife spent her final months acting like a zombie, and almost nobody around her seemed to notice how far gone she really was. Lindsay Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan, at their Duxbury, Massachusetts home in January 2023. She's pleading not guilty by reason of insanity. Between September 2022 and January 2023, she was prescribed at least nine different psychiatric medications. An outside hospital later determined she'd been overmedicated and misdiagnosed, and her civil lawsuit alleges that what she described to providers as intrusive thoughts were actually auditory hallucinations nobody dug into further. A forensic psychiatrist has since diagnosed her with Bipolar Disorder I with postpartum onset, a condition where the antidepressants doctors prescribe can actually trigger psychosis. She was also gravely injured that night and has been paralyzed from the waist down ever since. Robin Dreeke joins Tony Brueski to talk through what it actually looks like when a family member is drowning in front of you and nobody around them, including the professionals treating her, catches it in time. They dig into prosecutor Jennifer Sprague's argument that other mothers with postpartum psychosis who never harmed their children shouldn't testify for the defense, and Judge William Sullivan's decision to agree with her. Patrick has publicly asked people to forgive Lindsay and is on her defense witness list. She has never given police a statement about that night, not once, in three and a half years.
