Im 30-jährigen Krieg haben schwedische Soldaten alle Glocken des ersten Geläutes geraubt und zerschlagen. Aber schon 1639, 1643 und 1651 wurden drei neue Glocken für Pautzfeld im nahen Forchheim gegossen. Sie hängen heute noch im Turm der Pfarrkirche Mariä Himmelfahrt.
