On October 6, 2019 at 25 years old, post college football and three months away from his wedding, Tyler suffered a sudden cardiac arrest in the middle of the Medtronic Twin Cities 10-Mile race. Lying nearly lifeless on the pavement, a collection of strangers (one of them 'Jesus' AKA Jesse) came to his aide and performed CPR on him for 10-15 minutes until an AED arrived on the scene and shocked his heart back into rhythm.As he recovered from the cardiac arrest, he began to share about his experiences facing adversity.
