I met Erik and Chewy outside of the Barber Shop while he was washing the windows to trade out for a hair cut.  He's walking from Georgia to Alaska with his dog Chewy.  It's been 6 months on the road and they're in North Idaho, 2,602 miles from Valdosta.  A quick check on the weather app, and it looks like summer is over in Alaska.  Sandpoint to Utqiaġvik (Barrow), where Erik said he'd like to end up, is 2,760 miles away.  And the high today, August 29th, is 44℉ with snow in the forecast for Tuesday.   Video of interview --> https://rumble.com/v7euam8-erik-and-chewy-are-walking-from-georgia-to-alaska.htmlSend the Show a text...we'd love to connect with you!

Rocketman, Jet Pack Pilot, Stuntman, as seen on MTV, NASCAR, Rose Bowl & Parade with Dan Schlund

Today’s guest is Dan Schlund — world-renowned Jet Pack Pilot, Stuntman, Author, Pyrotechnician and the subject of the documentary "The Last Rocketman,” based on his book under the same name. We're expecting a release date of late 2026 / early 2027 on Netflix or Amazon.  There are only 11 men who have been rocket men since 1961 and Dan’s the 11th.  In this memoir of faith, family, and finding purpose through physical extremes, Dan traces his journey from adventurous teen to stuntman and pyrotechnician, ultimately becoming one of the world’s few remaining rocketbelt pilots.  It’s a story of wisdom earned through pain and uncertainty, of frailty and recovery, of losing heroes and finding the hero within—and of the great crashes that nearly ended it all.Dan spent a decade flying jet packs while surviving devastating skin graft surgeries (185 inches of skin removed), a broken neck, and being burned alive.   But … chicks dig scars and stunt men.  He had to pivot to a new career and created "National Set Medics,” a company that provides medics to TV shows and film sets grossing over 10 million dollars in revenue with 12,600 medics.  Fun quote from Dan, "It’s a bottle rocket at the end of a shoestring."You can connect with Dan here --> TheLastRocketman.com and Rocketman.tv Video of interview --> https://rumble.com/v7bgeru-rocketman-jet-pack-pilot-stuntman-as-seen-on-mtv-nascar-rose-bowl-and-parad.htmlSend the Show a text...we'd love to connect with you!

Savio P. Clemente Survived Cancer Twice, and Here's How He Did It

Savio almost died in 2014. Hearing those deafening words - "it is stage 3" - tore him up. But he promised himself that if he made it to the five year remission mark and was still cancer free that he would make it count. As a syndicated columnist for Authority Magazine and Thrive Global, Savio interviewed nearly 175 cancer survivors from all walks of life. In his book, he share the true stories of 35 of those survivors and what they learned physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually from this very difficult experience which has forever shaped their worldview. One of the consistent themes through all of them is forgiveness. Largely forgiving ourselves. Savio P. Clemente is a keynote and TEDx speaker, journalist, board-certified wellness coach, best-selling author, and healthcare leadership strategist. After 2,000+ interviews with global leaders and his own experience rebuilding after surviving cancer twice, Savio developed the Adaptive Resilience Leadership framework. His work helps leaders cut through cognitive overload, make clearer decisions, and avoid the quiet performance drop that often follows high-pressure moments. He focuses on helping individuals & organizations operate with clarity and consistency when it matters most because performance usually doesn’t fail first. Clarity does. Adrenaline fades, processes normalize, but the "operating system" that once worked slows. Second-guessing creeps in.Connect with Savio here --> https://www.SavioPClemente.comHere's Savio's book, 'I Survived Cancer and Here is How I Did It" --> https://www.amazon.com/Survived-Cancer-Here-How-Did-ebook/dp/B09SRQRCP9/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1647678737&sr=8-1Video of interview --> https://rumble.com/v7b05du-savio-p.-clemente-survived-cancer-twice-and-heres-how-he-did-it.htmlSend the Show a text...we'd love to connect with you!

Back in the ESPN Broadcast Booth after 5 broken ribs, separated shoulder and a concussion with Kirk McCarley

Our ESPN friend Kirk McCarley is back on the Show to spin some more sports yarn after getting run over by a truck.  Okay, hit by a truck, but what's the difference when it's a truck vs. bike.  As a result, Kirk is recovering from 5 broken ribs, a separated shoulder and a concussion.  Today we'll hear a story of forgiveness and healing with a positive attitude.  You often times hear Kirk say he's blessed.  You'll hear that today.  We're blessed to have Kirk on the Show so soon after the wreck talking Bum Phillips, burning albums on a baseball field and parachuting into a scoreboard.    Phillips was fired on New Year's Eve 1980 by Oilers owner Bud Adams.  The 1980 Oilers, at times, had trouble scoring and Phillips refused to hire an offensive coordinator.  "I didn't feel like we needed it", he said.  At the time his 11 wins that season were the most wins in a season of a coach who would then be fired.Video of interview --> https://rumble.com/v79bc12-back-in-the-espn-broadcast-booth-after-5-broken-ribs-separated-shoulder-and.htmlSend the Show a text...we'd love to connect with you!

The Strength Within You; It's Always Too Soon to Quit with Jay Setchell

Jay Setchell has experienced both multiple deaths and near death experiences. He's had 73 surgeries and even experienced paralysis. He's done all of this with a foundation of Faith, Hope and Prayer.Everyone carries a strength inside them, often without even knowing it’s there. The key is learning to tap into that strength when life demands it. Sometimes it comes from lessons we’ve picked up along the way. Other times, it shows up in the moment, surprising even us.The questions Jay has often asked himself is: Where does my inner strength come from? The truth is, it’s not from just one place. His upbringing shaped him: parents, grandparents, neighbors, teachers, faith, friends, have all left their mark. The discipline and structure of the Marine Corps drilled into him a commitment to every cause he took on. Years of pain, frustration, and setbacks gave him a relentless determination to get back up and keep going. His successes fueled his drive, and even his failures gave him fire to keep pushing forward. What he’s learned is simple but powerful: He can’t expect his future to be handed to him by someone else. It’s his responsibility. That doesn’t mean we don’t need other people. We do. We need the Lord God first and foremost. Relationships, family, and community are vital to living a full life. But at the end of the day, no one else can set our goals or make us take the steps to reach them. That’s on us.Jay would say … “Your success, depending on what "success" means to you is a matter of courage, resilience, grit, determination, perseverance, choices, failures and what you did to overcome them, your thought pattern and so much more." “It’s ALWAYS too soon to quit!”You can connect with Jay and buy his book here --> NeverQuitTrying.comVideo of interview --> https://rumble.com/v78qy7u-the-strength-within-you-its-always-too-soon-to-quit-with-jay-setchell.htmlSend the Show a text...we'd love to connect with you!

Humble About Burgers ... and Life, with Nate Wolff

We welcome Nate Wolff, owner of Humble Burger in Moscow, Idaho.  Humble Burger started as a food stand at the Moscow Farmer's Market in 2014. They struck burger gold, and people went bananas for their food. The volume offered an opportunity to open a physical location in September of 2015.Their goal is to balance a few key principles that are important to them. They believe that everyone should have access to good quality food that's local. They believe in supporting neighbors that grow great food. And, they believe that their employees deserve great wages. Exodus Strong Through Herbal Medicine and Molecular Hydrogen with Rob Rene

Rob Rene’s story is one of resilience, faith, and transformation. Once a gifted athlete with dreams of becoming a professional runner, Rob’s journey took an unexpected turn when a winter training run in Utah ended in a near-fatal accident. Rob became a frequency specialist and began exploring alternative therapies, such as frequency medicine, for healing. He delved deep into the use of herbal medicine and molecular hydrogen, discovering the powerful health benefits these natural approaches provided.Rob’s personal journey wasn’t just about finding solutions for others—he himself underwent a transformation. He describes his experience as a metaphorical death, marked by anger, sadness, and frustration as he shed the layers of his former self. Yet, it was through this period of personal upheaval that Rob found renewed strength, resilience, and most importantly, a deeper connection to God.Connect with Rob and learn more about his products here —> ExodusStrong.comYou can also check out his podcast here —> iamPainFree.com/podcastsVideo of interview --> https://rumble.com/v727fza-exodus-strong-through-herbal-medicine-and-molecular-hydrogen-with-rob-rene.html Send the Show a text...we'd love to connect with you!

Real Authentic Gratitude...You Can Do This! with Author, Speaker and Coach Laura Bratton

We are grateful to have Laura Bratton join us again on the Show today.  Seriously, Laura is getting married this Saturday!  For "Part One" please go check out our first episode with Laura on September 3rd titled, "From Losing Sight to Having Real Vision with Laura Bratton."Laura graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in psychology. She then was the first blind student to receive her Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. Another first, her guide dog Jira received the only Masters of Dogmatics Degree from Princeton. It was delivered to Jira from Iain R. Torrance, President Emeritus, Princeton Theological Seminary; Pro-Chancellor, University of Aberdeen, Scotland; Dean of the Chapel Royal in Scotland, Dean of the Order of the Thistle.  This is what President Torrance has to say about Laura, "Laura Bratton has written a remarkable book that shows how she is so well qualified to help others overcome trauma and loss.  Though the book is a story of loss, it is even more a story of courage and of how to accept the love of others, how to be sufficient and not dependent, and how not to complain.  Laura did her graduate studies at Princeton Theological Seminary during my tenure there.  She and her wonderful guide dog, Jira, enriched our lives in ways we will never forget, and she taught us far more than we ever gave her.  Please read her story and give thanks to God."   Laura founded Ubi Global, which is an organization that provides speaking and coaching to empower all people to overcome challenges and obstacles with grit and gratitude. Today, we take a real authentic deep dive into gratitude. Connect with Laura and buy her book, Harnessing Courage - Overcoming Adversity with Grit & Gratitude. Getting a Clear Mind from Anxiety & Depression with Tyson Durbin

Why Thoughts Matter. Our thoughts shape the way we feel, act, and relate to others. When stress or strong emotion runs high, our minds often take shortcuts by jumping to conclusions (mat) or assuming the worst. When our mind does this, it’s called a “thinking trap.” A thinking trap (also called a cognitive distortion) happens when our brain tells a story that isn’t completely true. These thoughts often show up automatically, especially when we’re stressed, anxious, or upset. Thinking traps narrow our perspective and make it harder to see the full picture. The good news is ... everyone experiences thinking traps, and you can learn to spot and change them.Connect with Tyson, learn more about how you can change the Thinking Traps, and download some free resources here --> www.ClearMindCounselingID.com“Just because you think it, doesn’t mean it’s true.”-Tyson DurbinVideo of interview --> https://rumble.com/v70mgiu-getting-a-clear-mind-from-anxiety-and-depression-with-tyson-durbin.html Send the Show a text...we'd love to connect with you!

Overcoming Addiction and Cancer by using Adversity as a Strength with Kenny Stoddart

Kenny didn’t set out just to survive...he set out to thrive!   For years, he lived a double life—on the outside, he was successful, driven, and respected.  On the inside, he was battling addiction, shame, and the quiet chaos that comes with losing yourself.  Recovery wasn’t a chapter in his life—it was a rebirth. And it taught him that the strongest minds aren’t forged in comfort. They’re built in fire.IronMind Advisors (inspired by his Ironman journey) is the product of that fire.  Kenny founded it to help others—especially leaders, entrepreneurs, and high performers—“build the kind of mental infrastructure that not only withstands adversity, but transforms it into fuel.”Connect with Kenny here --> www.IronMindAdvisors.comVideo of interview --> https://rumble.com/v6zyp58-overcoming-addiction-and-cancer-by-using-adversity-as-a-strength-with-kenny.html Send the Show a text...we'd love to connect with you!
