Paying your Vow to God - Pastor Rudy - Genesis 28:20-22

SCRIPTURE READING: Then Jacob made a vow, saying, "If God will be with me and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat and clothing to wear, so that I come again to my father's house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God, and this stone, which I have set up for a pillar, shall be God's house. And of all that you give me I will give a full tenth to you." (Genesis 28:20-22 ESV) I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar and made a vow to me. Now arise, go out from this land and return to the land of your kindred." All the wealth that God has taken away from our father belongs to us and to our children. Now then, whatever God has said to you, do." (Genesis 31:13, 16 ESV) Definition: (What is a Vow?) A solemn promise made committing one to a prescribed role, calling or course of action, marriage etc. A promise made to do a specified thing. (SEE VOW, VOWS)
