PCA Divided? Rev. Zachary Garris Convicted for Unwholesome Speech

from Matthew Everhard · host Dr. Matthew V Everhard

In this video, I am going to delve into the controversy related to TE Zachary Garris. He was recently suspended by his presbytery, the Presbytery of the Rio Grande, for "unwholesome speech." Garris was charged related to his views of slavery and race, but was found not guilty. He was however convicted on speech for two tweets that he made in related online conversations. This is a very controversial decision that has many people in the PCA wondering whether or not this verdict might be unfair. In this video, we will discuss the charges that were made, and the viewer can decide whether or not this was a just verdict. I will also show you what the two main "parties" are in the PCA and what their viewpoints tend to be. We will look at responses from Sean McGowan, Keith Foskey, Ryan Denton, Megan Basham and others.
