What is a pendulum?
A pendulum is a weight suspended on a thread, which by its movement, reveals answers to questions that our conscious mind wants to know. It is a tool that can register responses from our subconscious and superconscious aspects. The reaction starts off in the mind and is then translated through the aura, the psychic centres, and then the brain, into impulses which in turn move the pendulum through the bodily muscles and nerves.
How to use a pendulum
The first thing to do before trying pendulum dowsing is to determine which way it swings when it is giving you a ‘yes’ response, and a ‘no’ response. This is done simply by picking up the pendulum by its thread and holding it between the thumb and index finger in whichever hand is most natural for you.
Applications of pendulum dowsing
For centuries the pendulum has been used to discover those things which the conscious mind cannot perceive. From finding underground water and missing objects, to determining individual food requirements – plus a myriad of other unanswered questions.
With the aid of a pendulum, and after sufficient practice, we can sensitise our brains to receive information from both the subconscious and superconscious aspects of the mind. By doing this we can tap into the vast knowledge stored within the subconscious mind as well as the higher inspiration from the superconscious mind. When we do this we can learn many things about our health and well being as well as the world around us.
