As they make their move on the local wrestling arena, the plan goes badly wrong when civilians are shot and killed by Banjo, one of the members of Gully’s crew. With news of the botched job circulating in the press, Alfred’s mum suspects his involvement and asks him to move out of the house. His father would be very disappointed in him. Alfie’s love life is just as complicated as Gully’s wife, Melanie, reconnects with him in the Delaney club and once again Alfie shuns Sandra’s affections. Elsewhere the closeness between Bet and Katie develops as they must think of creative ways to hide one of Bets former imprisoners, George the Beefeater, at the sex shop (Sykes Pain Supplies) and Katie learns more about Bet’s past. Meanwhile tensions ratchet up at Raven Union HQ between Harwood, increasingly dependent on medication and booze, and Francis Gaunt as he learns of her secret meeting with the English League and loses trust in his old friend.
