Permit The Children To Come To Me: Why Kids Need To Be Kids
from Highland Gospel Mission · host Highland Southern Baptist Church
Greetings everyone, and may mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. We will be in Mark 10 today. How do we value children? We have protections in place for them to make sure that they don’t get hurt, and government laws in place built around them, yet they are treated as second rate. We look down on them for being disruptive, messy, or destructive, but that is who they are. Yes, we need to provide discipline, but we can’t fault them for being children. Jesus even rebuked the disciples for preventing the children coming to him. Children are very important, they are the future of the Church, the next generation that will replace us. If your church has children, get to know them, don’t push them aside. And if they don’t have children, find out why. Because a church without children is a dying church. Love on a child this week.“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28 19-20You can reach us at facebook.com/hbchillsboro.
