“Personal Prayer: A Guide for Receiving the Father’s Love,” An Interview with Fr. Boniface Hicks, O.S.B.

We each yearn to be seen, loved and accepted. We value when others acknowledge our strengths, our contributions, and even our presence. That desire to be loved and received as we are, is stamped in our DNA. Can I propose that God wants to meet that desire for intimacy and fill you to the brim with His love? Boniface Hicks, a Benedictine monk and the Director of Spiritual Formation at Saint Vincent Seminary. I first learned of Fr. Hicks through my classes with Encounter Ministries and through a book he co-authored titled, “Personal Prayer: A Guide for Receiving the Father’s Love.” It started as an optional reading assignment that I wasn’t planning to read (I’ve read a lot of books on prayer and couldn’t imagine how this could be anything new- prideful I know!), to being a book I couldn’t put down and now recommend to everyone!
