Y sobre todo, una enorme cantidad de especies endémicas, es decir especies que no existen en otro lugar más que en las regiones donde habitan aquí en Perú. La noticia quizás no sea despampanante. Sin embargo, nos invita a reflexionar sobre la importancia que tiene la conservación de la fauna y la flora silvestre, porque finalmente cuando ningún otro recurso exista, seguirán existiendo nuestras especies, que son las que dan vida al planeta.
