PHANTASYMIX 59: Roman Flügel

For the 59th edition to Phantasy’s mix series, we are proud to welcome DJ, producer and innovator, Roman Flügel. Raised near Frankfurt, and later swept up in the life-altering tides of Germany’s 90s rave culture Flügel now lives and records in Berlin, where he continues to contribute his creativity and imagination to the wider continuum of electronic music. Most recently, Flügel released his third single on Phantasy, ‘Tippex In My Eye’. Featuring lyrics and vocals from London’s enigmatic singer-songwriter PYTKO, the single follows yet another new path, interpreting steppin’ digi-dub, alongside a typically rushing, beautifully detailed Dance Mix. Never without new music to share, we find the humble maestro in this forward-motion mood for PHANTASYMIX 59; “My new single with PYTKO serves as the framework for this energetic 60-minute mix, aiming to unite various genres of club music under one roof.
