Philadelphia Phillies Sweep St. Louis Cardinals Here’s The Thing A2D Radio

The Philadelphia Phillies saw another string of victories at home this week. Starting out the week against former manager Gabe Kapler and his San Francisco Giants, the Phillies were dominant on offense. Throughout the 3 game series, the Phillies put up 20 runs and won two games which secured them the series win. Later in the week, the St. Louis Cardinals were reminded why this team was in the World Series last year. The Cardinals didn’t stand a chance as the Phillies put up a combined 22 runs over the span of 3 games while St Louis only managed to bring 3 runners across home plate. With that sweep, the Phillies would end the week at 5-1, and 7-3 in their last 10. Can this momentum continue as a new week of MLB action continues inside Citizens Bank Park? Last week, Los Angeles Angels superstar pitcher Shohei Ohtani was revealed to have a torn UCL which has brought his incredible pitching season to an abrupt end.
