Philippa Ryder (she/her) is a transgender woman. She joined the Irish civil service, the Property RegistrationAuthority, in 1980 and retired in 2022. She describes herself as a passionate, inclusive feminist.Over the past 20 years she has been a board member and chair of Transgender EqualityNetwork Ireland (TENI) and part of the Steering Committee of Transgender Europe (TGEU).She was a founding committee member of Sporting Pride, Ireland’s LGBTQ+ sportsorganisation and represented Ireland at the World Gay Games in Paris in 2018.She was also Chair of the Board of Dublin Pride, retiring in 2026.
