Philippians 3: Consider All Loss

Philippians 3:7-8 is a compelling few verses. Paul looks to his past and dismisses his earthly accomplishments in favor of the salvation he has in Christ. Then he looks to his present life and considers anything he could be doing as surrendered to the work of Jesus Christ which is far better. Finally, he looks to all that he is and gives himself to Christ so that he might know Jesus. Anyone reading these words will find themselves at one of these three places: ready to begin faith in Christ, considering what it means to give my vocation and life to Jesus, being invited to abandon myself in order that I might know Jesus more.
