Philippians Chapter 3 | David Pratt

In this weeks message Pastor David Pratt teaches from Philippians chapter 3. Paul is sharing with us the way to win in life. Right relationship with God is based on faith, not works or religious practices. He instructs us that we are made righteous through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Paul explains to us that there’s a goal, a prize, using the illustration of the race. To be more like Jesus! We need to focus on that finish line and remove all distractions. Finally, Paul encourages the Philippians, and us, to follow the examples of people that will help us achieve maturity in Christ. Maturity is an attitude of letting go of the past, and focusing on the finish line. Remove anything that distracts you from pursuing Jesus Christ: our past, our failures, our successes. Push forward and reach for the prize of the upward call of God, in and through Christ Jesus.
